Find open GitHub issues that explicitly offer money for completed work — without manually searching through thousands of issues.
GitHub Paid Bounty Finder searches current public GitHub issues, extracts stated USD/USDC/EUR payments, removes common false positives and test/aggregator noise, assigns a trust score, and ranks the most actionable opportunities.
What you get
Each result includes:
- stated bounty amount and currency
- issue title and direct GitHub URL
- repository
- labels and comment count
- created and updated timestamps
- issue description excerpt
- trust score
- opportunity score
- source provenance
Useful for
- developers looking for paid open-source tasks
- AI coding agents searching for paid work
- bounty hunters
- researchers monitoring paid GitHub work
- automation systems that need structured bounty signals
Quality filtering
The Actor is not a generic GitHub issue scraper. It filters common false payment signals, obvious test/demo bounties and aggregator alerts. Results are scored using payment evidence, bounty/reward labels, concrete deliverable language, freshness and other confidence signals.
No automated filter can guarantee that a bounty will ultimately pay. Always open the source issue and verify eligibility, requirements and payment terms before doing work.
Input
maxResults— 1–100 results, default 25minAmount— minimum stated bounty amount, default 50requireExplicitAmount— require a parsable monetary amount, default trueminTrustScore— quality threshold from 0–10, default 5extraKeywords— optional filters such asAPI,Python, automation, scraper, data, orMCP
Pricing
Designed for Apify Pay Per Event.
Event: bounty-result
Launch target: $0.01 per qualified result. Filtered-out issues are not charged as results. A default 25-result run therefore targets $0.25 in event charges, subject to Apify's pricing and platform rules.
Efficient by design
The Actor uses GitHub's public API and does not require browser automation, proxies, or a paid external data provider. An optional GitHub token can improve API allowance for higher-volume usage.
Example workflow
Run daily with a minimum bounty amount and optional technical keywords, export the resulting dataset, and feed the trusted opportunities into your own review or agent workflow.
