Use when: an AI agent or app needs current air quality for a city or coordinates (PM2.5, PM10, US AQI, UK DAQI band, plain-English health advice) for travel, running, health or smart-home decisions, without an API key.
Try this input (also the default, just click Start)
{"requests": [{"location": "London, UK"}, {"location": "Berlin"}, {"lat": 40.71, "lon": -74.0, "radius_km": 10}]}
Sample output (real run, 2 Nov 2026, trimmed)
{"query": "Berlin", "pm2_5_ugm3": 6.2, "pm10_ugm3": 10.4, "us_aqi": 34, "us_aqi_category": "Good", "uk_daqi": 1, "uk_daqi_band": "Low","health_advice": "Air quality is fine for everyone.", "sensors_used": 111, "temperature_c": 10, "humidity_pct": 72.8, "error": null}{"query": "London, UK", "pm2_5_ugm3": 0.9, "us_aqi": 5, "us_aqi_category": "Good", "sensors_used": 5, "error": null}
Options
location: city or "City, Country", orlat+lonin decimal degrees.radius_km: sensor search radius (default 8).
Each row has PM2.5/PM10, us_aqi + category, uk_daqi + band, health_advice, WHO guideline flag, sensors_used, temperature, humidity and data_age. Up to 500 items per run.
Pricing: pay per event, $0.003 per air quality lookup (live air quality for one place). Rows with errors are not charged. No subscription.
Limits & failure modes
- Median of nearby low-cost citizen sensors (Sensor.Community): indicative, not official monitoring; uncorrected for humidity.
- Coverage is best in Europe; some cities have only a handful of sensors (London had 5 in our test), so check
sensors_used. - AQI is from current PM2.5, not a 24-hour average.
- Data ODbL 1.0 (© Sensor.Community contributors). Place names GeoNames (CC BY 4.0).
Last tested: 2 Nov 2026.
