Google Jobs Schema & Expiry Auditor

Audit public job detail pages for Google JobPosting JSON-LD eligibility, expired listings, remote-location requirements, and data-quality gaps. The Actor returns one structured audit per successfully fetched URL for QA pipelines, recurring checks, spreadsheets, and alerts.

What it checks

• Required Google job fields: title, description, datePosted, hiringOrganization, and a valid physical or remote location
• Expired listings through validThrough
• Remote jobs missing applicant-location eligibility
• Salary, employment type, identifier, and other completeness signals
• Malformed JSON-LD, multiple jobs on one detail page, weak descriptions, and promotional titles
• Prioritized fixes, eligibility status, and a 0–100 quality score

Input

Provide up to 20 public job detail page URLs. Enable includeSchema when you also want the normalized JobPosting object returned.

Output

Each completed audit includes the final URL, HTTP status, schema count, Google eligibility, expiry status, score, key job fields, errors, warnings, and fixes. URLs that cannot be fetched are logged and are not written as billable dataset results.

Security and limits

The Actor only fetches public HTTP(S) pages. It rejects URL credentials, private and special-use IP ranges, unsafe DNS resolutions, and unsafe redirect destinations. Downloads are limited to 2 MB, redirects to five, requests to 15 seconds, and each run to 20 URLs.

The runtime uses Node's built-in HTTP and Apify storage APIs and ships with no third-party production packages, reducing dependency and supply-chain exposure.

This Actor implements deterministic checks based on published Google Search documentation. It does not call Google's Rich Results Test and cannot guarantee indexing, ranking, or inclusion in Google Jobs. Always confirm final changes in Search Console and Google's official test tools.
