What it does

This free actor returns official French school holidays (vacances scolaires) for any city or academy, straight from the Ministère de l'Éducation nationale open data (dataset fr-en-calendrier-scolaire). For each location you get every holiday period — Toussaint, Noël, hiver, printemps, été, Ascension — with its start date, end date, zone (A / B / C), holiday name and school year. Perfect for planning tools, HR/leave software, tourism and childcare apps. You only pay your Apify platform usage.

Use cases

  • Plan product releases, staffing or marketing around French holidays.
  • Feed HR / leave-management tools with official term dates.
  • Power travel, tourism and childcare booking apps.
  • Compute business days excluding school holiday zones.

Limitations & fair use

Data is published by the French Ministry of Education under an open licence (Licence Ouverte / Etalab). Location names must match the dataset's location values (usually academy names). Dates are stored in UTC.
