Get brand-new business registrations — the freshest B2B leads that exist — from six official US state government data sources in one normalized feed: NY, CO, OR, CT, PA, TX. New businesses need insurance, banking, bookkeeping, websites, equipment, and services right now; this actor tells you who they are, where they are, and (where the state publishes it) how to reach them.

No API keys, no logins, no scraping of protected portals — every record comes from an official state open-data endpoint and carries a sourceUrl and retrievedAt timestamp so you can verify it yourself.

Input

{
"states": ["NY", "CO", "OR", "CT", "PA", "TX"],
"daysBack": 7,
"maxResultsPerState": 100
}
  • states — any of NY, CO, OR, CT, PA, TX. Omit for all six.
  • daysBack — look-back window in days (default 7). For a continuous feed, schedule the actor daily with daysBack 1–3 (NY/CO/OR/CT). PA needs daysBack 10+ because of its source's ~1-week publish lag — run PA on its own weekly schedule to avoid duplicate leads.
  • sinceDate — optional fixed start date (YYYY-MM-DD); overrides daysBack.
  • maxResultsPerState — cap per state (default 100, max 1,000).

Freshness, stated honestly (per state)

Every record carries its source's real cadence in sourceFreshness — we'd rather tell you a source lags than let you find out from a stale lead.

StateSourceCadence
New YorkNY DOS Active Corporations (data.ny.gov)Updates daily
ColoradoCO SoS Business Entities (data.colorado.gov)Updates daily; richest record (principal address + agent + full status)
OregonOR SoS Business Registry (data.oregon.gov)Updates daily
ConnecticutCT Business Registry Master (data.ct.gov)Updates daily — and uniquely publishes business email + NAICS
PennsylvaniaPA DoS Registered Businesses (data.pa.gov)Publishes with ~1-week lag — treat PA as "recent", not same-day
TexasTX Comptroller Active Franchise Taxpayers (data.texas.gov)Refreshes weekly; scope = active for-profit franchise taxpayers, not the full SOS feed

Other honest limitations: states publish different fields — email/NAICS are CT-only, agent names are strongest in CO/OR, and NY's address is the service-of-process address. Where a state doesn't publish a field, it is null rather than guessed.

Typical uses

  • Daily lead feed: schedule with daysBack: 2, pipe the dataset to Sheets, your CRM, or a Zapier/Make webhook.
  • Territory monitoring: pick your states, filter by county or zip downstream.
  • Industry targeting: CT's naicsCode lets you filter to e.g. restaurants or contractors at the source.

Verify any lead (KYB)

Need the full registry record behind a lead — or to look up any US company by name across these same official sources? Use our companion actor Secretary of State Business Entity Search (KYB) — same normalized schema, same official-data-only policy.

Data sources

All data comes from official US state government open-data portals. This actor returns public record data as published by each state; it is provided "as is" for informational purposes. Respect applicable laws (e.g. CAN-SPAM / TCPA) when contacting any business.
