Subito.it Scraper: listings, cars, rentals and prices

Scrape Subito.it, Italy's biggest classifieds site, by keyword, category and place: a region, a province or a single town. Every listing comes with the title, price, condition, category, region, province and town, photos, posted date, shipping options and whether the seller is private or a business. Cars and motorbikes add the make, model, version, year, mileage, fuel, gearbox and power. Apartments and houses add m², rooms, bathrooms, floor, energy class and furnished, plus whether it's for sale or rent.

Subito only shows 30 listings per search page. This scraper gets past that by itself: a big search is split into categories and price ranges, so you can collect thousands of listings from one search. No login, no cookies, no Subito account.

What you get

ListingID, URL, title, posted date (UTC and Italian time), promoted / urgent flags
PricePrice in euros, the price as shown, monthly rent for rentals
ItemCategory, condition (new, like new, excellent, good, damaged), every attribute Subito shows for the category
PlaceRegion, province (name and code), town, zone
PhotosFull-size photo URLs and the photo count
ShippingShips or not, TuttoSubito or own shipping, cost, parcel size, carriers
VehiclesMake, model, version, year, first registration, km, fuel, gearbox, body type, kW and CV
Propertym², rooms, bathrooms, floor, energy class, furnished
SellerOnly "private" or "business". No name, ID, phone or profile is ever collected

How to use it

  1. Enter one or more keywords, such as iphone 13, bici elettrica or panda 4x4. You can leave this empty to browse a whole category.
  2. Optionally pick a category, such as Phones, Cars, Apartments or Bicycles.
  3. Enter places: Italia, a region (Lombardia, Sicily), a province (Milano, MI, Rome) or a town as "Town, Province" (Ponte San Pietro, Bergamo or Sesto San Giovanni (MI)).
  4. Set Max listings and any filters, then run.

Each keyword is searched in each place. Max listings is the total for the run, shared fairly between your searches.

Input examples

Used iPhones in Lombardy that the seller ships, like new or excellent, €150–€400:

{
"keywords": ["iphone 13"],
"category": "telefonia",
"locations": ["Lombardia"],
"condition": ["like-new", "excellent"],
"shippableOnly": true,
"minPrice": 150,
"maxPrice": 400,

}

Fiat Panda 4x4s from private sellers in Piedmont and Lombardy:

{
"keywords": ["panda 4x4"],
"category": "auto",
"locations": ["Piemonte", "Lombardia"],
"sellerType": "private",
"maxItems": 300
}

Apartments for rent in Rome:

{
"category": "appartamenti",
"adType": "rent",
"locations": ["Roma"],
"maxItems": 500
}

You can also paste Subito search URLs straight from your browser, and every filter in the URL is kept. Listing URLs (ending in -123456789.htm) work too, into Subito URLs.

A car adds brand: "FIAT", model: "Panda", version, year: 2006, mileageKm: 148000, fuel: "Diesel", gearbox, powerKw: 51 and powerHp: 69. A rental adds pricePeriod: "month", sizeM2, rooms, bathrooms, floor, energyClass and furnished. Every row has the same columns, and a value the listing doesn't state is null.

Use cases

  • Price research and resale: see what used phones, consoles, bikes or furniture really sell for in each region.
  • Car market data: compare asking prices by model, year and km, and between private sellers and dealers.
  • Rental and property analysis: track rents per m² by town and zone.
  • Deal alerts: schedule a run with Sort: Newest first and a small Max listings to catch new listings.
  • Market and competitor monitoring: follow how many listings a category or keyword has over time.

FAQ

Do I need a Subito account, cookies or a login? No. The scraper reads the same public search pages any visitor sees. It never logs in and needs nothing from you except a search.

How many listings can I get per search? As many as the search has. Subito shows 30 listings per search page, and its robots.txt asks crawlers not to open page 2 onwards, so this scraper never does. Instead, it splits a big search into Subito's own price ranges, and an all-categories search into categories first, reading the first page of each. For example, 1,000 listings take about 100 pages. The one limit is when more than 30 listings share exactly the same price in the same area: the run tells you, and a smaller area or a more specific keyword gets the rest.

In what order do results come? Within each page, they follow your Sort. Past the first 30 listings they come price range by price range, so sort the dataset by postedAt or price afterwards.

How fast is it? About one page (up to 30 listings) per second. Small runs finish in seconds.

Which places can I use? All 20 regions, every province by name or code (MI, RM, NA…), and any town written as "Town, Province". A place Subito doesn't know is skipped without charge, and the run's status message says so.

What about private sellers? Subito is mostly private people selling their own things. The scraper never collects a seller's name, user ID, phone, shop or profile link, and never fetches seller profiles or phone numbers. It doesn't save listing descriptions, where people often write their contact details, or the street address and map position of a listing. If someone types a phone number or e-mail into a title, it's replaced with "[phone removed]" / "[email removed]". Job seekers' ads ("Candidati in cerca di lavoro") are about people, not items, so they are never collected. The only seller information you get is whether the seller is private or a business.

Which proxy should I use? Keep the default (Apify Proxy, datacenter). It comes with every Apify plan, including the free one. If Subito refuses datacenter IPs for a while, the run switches to Italian residential proxies when your account has them, and carries on without them when it doesn't.

What does a run cost? You pay per listing saved, plus a small fee per run. See the Pricing tab. Duplicates and listings that are skipped are never charged.

Is it legal to scrape Subito? This Actor only collects publicly available data: listings that anyone can see on Subito.it without an account, such as the title, price, condition, category, town and photos. Collecting publicly available data is generally legal, but you're responsible for how you use it. Listings are mostly published by private individuals, so the scraper leaves out every seller's name, user ID and contact details, as well as listing descriptions and street addresses. You must follow privacy laws such as GDPR and the Italian privacy code, as well as Subito's terms. If you're unsure, check with a lawyer. More on this: Is web scraping legal?

Does it access any private data? No. Everything comes from pages Subito shows to any visitor without logging in. It never uses a login and never contacts sellers. It never opens seller profiles, phone-reveal or messaging pages, and it follows Subito's robots.txt.
