Scrape any category or country page on TrustMRR and extract verified startup revenue data (MRR, total revenue), founder profiles, and tech stacks.
What is the TrustMRR startup database?
TrustMRR is a database of startups to promote the build-in-public movement. It is a project developed and maintained by Marc Lou.
All startups listed on TrustMRR need to connect their Stripe billing. So, TrustMRR only displays real revenue numbers (no fake or inflated revenue claims).
Why get data from TrustMRR?
TrustMRR is a valuable source of insight about startups. You can query the data for multiple use cases:
- Monitor trending tech: for example, by monitoring OpenClaw startup and checking the tech stack they use.
- Monitor a specific startup vertical: for example monitor the AI startups
- Analyze the startup ecosystem of a specific country: for example by mining data about Czech startups
- Find all startups of an Indie Hacker: for example all startups founded by Marc Lou (the founder of TrustMRR)
How to use the trustMRR scraper?
This scraper is designed to scrape any category listed on TrustMRR.
You can find a list of available categories here. You can also scrape startup based on location using the url : https://trustmrr.com/country/ + {alpha 2 country code} For example https://trustmrr.com/country/cz for Czech based startups.
Inputs
This scraper takes the following inputs:
- TrustMRR category URL: you can list as many categories as you wish to scrape
- Scrape profile: toggle it if you want to get all the information from the startup profiles
- Max number of scroll: by default TrustMRR category display 30 results. Each scroll will display 30 more results. By default this scraper will perform 10 scrolls.
- Include extended profile fields (optional, requires Scrape profile): adds business metrics, Twitter data, for-sale info, and SEO metrics to each profile record.
- Include startup updates (optional, requires Scrape profile): fetches recent updates posted on each startup's TrustMRR page and stores them in a separate
updatesdataset. - Include daily revenue time series (optional, requires Scrape profile): fetches the last 30 days of daily revenue for each startup and stores it in a separate
revenue_time_seriesdataset.
Outputs
This scraper writes to up to three datasets:
- Default dataset: the overview and profile list (below)
updatesdataset: only when Include startup updates is enabledrevenue_time_seriesdataset: only when Include daily revenue time series is enabled
The Overview view has two fields:
- Category URL: the TrustMRR category URL you scraped
- startup URL: the TrustMRR startup profile
The Profile List view includes:
- TrustMRR profile: the TrustMRR startup profile that you can match with "startup Url" property from the Overview tab
- Startup Name
- Tagline
- Total revenue
- MRR
- Founded: the founding year of the startup
- Location: the headquarters location of the startup
- Last 4 weeks Revenue

- Tech stack used by this startup
- TrustMRR profile of the founder
When Include extended profile fields is enabled, each profile record also carries:
activeSubscriptions,profitMargin30d,revenueGrowth30d(revenue growth, distinct from the MRR-basedMoMGrowth),rank,uniquePageviews,revenueLastSyncedAt,foundedDate(full ISO),categoryxHandle,xFollowerCount, founderName, founderTwitteronSale, askingPrice, sellerMessage, cachedMultiple(populated only for startups listed for sale)ahrefsDomain, ahrefsDomainRating, marketingChannels
The updates dataset has one row per update post per startup: { startupSlug, startupId, profileUrl, update }.
The revenue_time_series dataset has one row per startup: { startupSlug, startupId, profileUrl, granularity, period, series } where series is the raw daily-revenue array.

FAQ
Why not use TrustMRR API?
TrustMRR has an official API, and if you know your way around API you can check the documentation here.
However, TrustMRR API has a low rate limit at only 20 requests per minute. So if you are looking for wide-scale monitoring of TrustMRR, web scraping will be a more scalable option.
What are TrustMRR alternatives?
When it comes to open data about build-in-public startups, TrustMRR is in a league of its own. IndieHackers also provides MRR data about a few projects, but those numbers are self-reported and can easily be inflated.
If you are looking for an alternative to TrustMRR to sell your startup: Flippa and Acquire are worth checking out.
Can I use integrations with the TrustMRR Startup Scraper?
You can use Apify platform integrations to push data to a third-party tool.
Can I use the TrustMRR Startup Scraper through an MCP Server?
With the Apify API, you can use almost any Actor in conjunction with an MCP server. You can connect to the MCP server using clients like ClaudeDesktop and LibreChat, or even build your own. Read all about how you can set up Apify Actors with MCP.
Is this Actor open source?
The first version of this scraper was open source. Given the spirit of openness behind TrustMRR platform, I wanted to make this scraper fully open source. You can find the source code here
This scraper is also fully copyleft. You are free to use and edit the source code as you wish, even for commercial applications.
