Normalized exhibit table for one SEC filing (CIK or accession number): one row per exhibit with filing metadata, form, filing date, exhibit number, description and document URL, plus a summary row with the total exhibit count. Public SEC data only; no credentials, proxies or LLMs.
Root cause: build 0.2.1 (tagged latest 2026-11-06) returned a single empty item (exhibitCount: 0) for CIK lookups. Build 0.1.8 sent no declared User-Agent to data.sec.gov, which now answers 403 Undeclared Automated Tool → zero filings; build 0.1.10 (built 2026-11-07, never tagged latest) added a declared User-Agent plus rate limiting/retries but was never made active.
Fix: CIK mode now tries recent filings most-recent-first (capped at 8) and reports the first one whose EDGAR index lists exhibits, so CIK lookups return real exhibit rows even when Apple's latest filing (currently a 424B2 prospectus with no exhibit table) has none. Accession mode is unchanged. Verified live on the Apify platform: input {"cikOrAccession":"320193"} returns 11 exhibit rows (Apple 10-K 0000320193-26-000026, filed 2026-11-03) with real SEC document URLs; no new Actor, no isPublic/pricing changes, owner-attributed QA runs only.

seoTitle: "SEC EDGAR Exhibit Index Extractor"; seoDescription set ("Normalized exhibit index from public SEC EDGAR filings by CIK or accession number — one row per exhibit with document URL; spreadsheet-ready, no API key.").
description: set — normalized exhibit table for one SEC filing (CIK or accession number): one row per exhibit with filing metadata, form, filing date, exhibit number, description and document URL, plus a summary row with the total exhibit count; public SEC data only; no credentials, proxies, or LLMs.
exampleRunInput: real valid input, not a placeholder — {"cikOrAccession":"0000320193-24-000123"} (Apple's 10-K accession).
Tags: null on the live listing. PUT /v2/actors/{id} rejects tag writes (tags is not allowed by the schema), so tags cannot be set from this task. Store-side tagging is an owner/Console step — see knowledge/owner-steps.md (VentureLoop repo).
Example run verified on the live public listing (POLICY #6 gate: >0 items, < 5 min):
Run tS8ZGEWcdMsMSYRXn, status SUCCEEDED, started 2026-11-05T19:20:14Z, finished 2026-11-05T19:20:17Z (3.20 s). Non-empty input body (41 bytes) sent — not an empty/default run.
Dataset Id9SB6GtomXSyW43Y publicly readable; returns items — e.g. exhibit row for Apple 10-K accession 0000320193-25-000079 (form 10-K, exhibit 4.1 "EX-4.1", documentUrl on SEC Archives) plus an exhibit-count summary row. Items > 0. ✅
Note: exampleRunInput (0000320193-24-000123, Apple's 10-K) is stored and real on the listing, but a demo run with that exact input was NOT started by this task — the actor is PAY_PER_EVENT ($0.0001/start + $0.005/exhibit) and this task operates under a $0-spend policy. Exact-example-input demo run is an owner-side step if desired — see knowledge/owner-steps.md.
Actor default:cikOrAccession defaults to Apple's 10-K accession 0000320193-24-000123; with a bare CIK, the most recent filing in the SEC submissions feed is used.
Owner-gated (not executed by this task): Apify Store Publishing Terms acceptance and KYC/payout details at first payout time (see knowledge/owner-steps.md); no buyer (non-owner) runs recorded to date — net operating revenue $0 (POLICY #7).
