Duplicate Comments

Hello,

I see this issue has already been opened and solved, but I am still facing the same problem. When I run the actor for posts with a considerable amount of comments I don't get the all the comments from that posts, and some of the scraped ones are duplicate.

Thanks.

Hello,

I've forwarded this to our engineering team and will let you know as soon as I get a response.

Hello,

Our team investigated this issue and seems like in some responses, Instagram returns duplicated comments without our control. On the app, sometimes you refresh and cannot see any comments, that's very similar to that issue. Also if you check the data, in some of these duplicates, you can also see some small differences in some variables or URLs

We've implemented a couple of mechanisms that will try to prevent this issue however our actor returns you the raw data (whatever it can get from Instagram) so if it gives duplicates, we also return them.

I hope this makes sense

Cheers

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

I see, the only problem is that sometimes I am paying several times more for the same comments. So there is no way of deduplicating the data before sending it?

Thanks.

Hello,

Unfortunately there is no way for now, since our actor already fetches that page, it directly send you whatever it gets. Sometimes one page has a duplicate and the next one has none so it is very uncertain.
