Hey hey!

Thank you very much for reaching out and using our actor! We have to integrate it for you to retrieve. Due to my knowledge, this field is not yet implemented on our actor. Can you please send me an example tweet so that we can check this in detail?

Cheers

Thx for the prompt answer! Hereunder you can find the example. I have already looked at the Twitter API documentation and they also mention "source" as one of the parameters/objects that can be retrieved. Let me know if you need anything else. Thx mate

Hey again!

We are not getting the same objects as Twitter API. Therefore, for us to integrate such functionality, we have to encounter a tweet. Can you please send a URL of a tweet that contains this information?

Cheers

Hi there again! I can not provide you with a URL right now.....also have to look into it, but have found the following link that does explain everything:

Hope that makes it clear. Cheers

Hey again!

Thank you very much for providing context. This actor is a 1:1 wrapper of the Twitter Platform and does not use the official Twitter API functionalities. Tweepy is also using the official Twitter API. Whatever you see on the platform is what the actor collects. That's why we specifically ask the URL.

Something is interesting going on with the Tweet Source. In normal cases, we can search for tweets that are sourced from iPhone or Android by using the source: attribute in search. However, some time ago, this attribute started to return nothing. Following that, the "Source" field on the tweets started to get removed from the platform. Either Twitter decided to remove that part from the Tweets, or something else.

Please let us know once you have a tweet with Source. In the meantime, our team will also take a look into this field and try to find a tweet with the source included.

Cheers

I found the following extension for chrome:

https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/return-tweet-source-label/mhkngabolhbckfjpmjclhockpdclfppc

This shows again the source of each tweet. Maybe that would help your process of scraping the data. Let me know. THX

I have looked again in their API documentation for V2. It is indeed possible to get the values. You are right that at one point no values were retrieved, as Twitter shut the service down for a while but brought it back again, If it is not possible for you to implement, then I will just have to fall back and use the official API from Twitter. Wanted to scrape quite some data, but will just do it then over a longer period of time. Let me know & Thx again!!!
