This example follows verified output types and shape; reviewer name, review ID and text are anonymized. Every row is independently useful in CSV and spreadsheet exports because it contains both review and activity context.

Review limits and pagination

maxReviewsPerUrl limits each activity independently.

maxItems limits the entire run. The global cap always wins when it is reached first.

The Actor advances offsets by raw records, follows explicit pagination and continues over short batches and excluded records. It does not assume newest-first ordering or stop simply because one page contains old reviews. The saved caps apply after text-only normalization, date filtering and deduplication.

Scanning stops on raw exhaustion, an explicit final page, a saved cap, repeated pages/no progress, or maxPagesPerUrl. Each request asks for at most 10 raw records; the source can return variable batches. Repeated-page, scan-limit and saved-limit stops are reported as incomplete unless exhaustion was actually established. Accessible feed coverage can be smaller than the aggregate total; exhaustive history is not promised.

Date filtering for review monitoring

Set cutoffDate to a real date in exact YYYY-MM-DD, such as 2026-07-01. The boundary date is included. Valid machine dates take precedence over localized subtitles. Older records and records with unknown/unparseable dates are excluded and counted in RUN_SUMMARY. Without a cutoff, written reviews with unknown dates may be saved with an empty reviewDate.

A useful scheduled workflow is:

1. run the Actor daily or weekly;
2. use a recent cutoff date;
3. deduplicate downstream by reviewId;
4. send only unseen IDs to Slack, email, a database, or a sentiment model.

The stable ID comes from GetYourGuide's public review record.

Multiple activity URLs

Add several activity detail URLs to compare products or monitor a portfolio.

Sources are processed sequentially to keep the protected review API session conservative. If one activity fails, the Actor logs the failure and continues to the next source.

By default, an all-empty run fails. Set allowEmptyResults:true for quiet-period monitoring: an empty run succeeds only if every activity was accessible, schema-valid and fully exhausted with no matches. Blocked/invalid sources, all-invalid normalization, unknown dates under a cutoff and incomplete scans cannot become successful empty exports. Deterministic no-match is not retried; zero saved reviews means zero item charges, while the normal start charge remains.

Activity completeness summary

Open Activity completeness summary in the run output or read RUN_SUMMARY from the default key-value store. It is not a dataset row and has no item charge. The record contains schemaVersion, complete, saved, and one entry per unique activity ID, including unvisited sources.

Each activity reports outcome (success, no_match, failure, incomplete, or skipped_by_global_limit), optional reason/sanitized failureCategory, attempts, scanned pages/records, matched/saved counts, invalid/unknown-date/old/duplicate counts, and exhausted. skippedUnknownDate counts encountered unknown dates; those records are excluded only with a cutoff. Counts describe processed records, not the unscanned feed. A saved cap generally makes completeness false even when useful reviews were exported. Partial-source success remains supported, but failures and omitted sources are visible.

The summary contains no review text, reviewer identifiers, credentials or URL queries. It is persisted before normal empty/failure termination where storage remains available. Abrupt termination can prevent final persistence.

Tips for reliable runs

• Start with 10–20 reviews from one activity.
• Keep Residential proxy enabled.
• Use canonical activity detail URLs with -t<activityId>.
• Avoid very large first runs before confirming the activity has public reviews.
• Use maxItems as a cost-control ceiling.
• Inspect the run log when a source reports a challenge.
• Schedule moderate recurring exports instead of repeatedly requesting an entire review history.

GetYourGuide page changes and limitations

GetYourGuide is a dynamic website and may change labels, review layouts, or anti-bot controls.

The Actor only exports fields rendered anonymously on the public activity page. It does not access private traveler profiles, booking accounts, supplier dashboards, or partner credentials.

Some reviews do not expose traveler type, media or language metadata. Those optional keys may be absent. Provider and helpful counts are not supplied by the current route; their legacy schema keys remain for compatibility. Rating-only reviews and owner replies are not exported. There is no verified-only filter.

The visible page may translate interface labels or review content according to locale and GetYourGuide behavior.

Deleted or edited reviews can cause a record to disappear or receive a different stable ID on a later run.

Attach a daily or weekly schedule. Review RUN_SUMMARY.complete before treating a quiet run as complete coverage, and deduplicate downstream by activityId + reviewId. The feed has no proven newest-first sort. Use a bounded overlapping date window; saved caps or scan limits can omit matches.
