Private Apify Actor for observing public Trustpilot company pages with a standard headless Chromium browser and exporting structured reviews plus deterministic reputation signals.
Zero-cost acquisition
- HTTP-first access is not used for data when Trustpilot serves its verification interstitial; the production transport uses anonymous standard Chromium.
- No Trustpilot API key, account login, personal cookies, CAPTCHA solver, bypass, proxy, or paid external service is used.
- The browser uses an isolated context with
en-USlocale and UTC timezone. Public__NEXT_DATA__is parsed from the rendered page. - The public review window is capped at 200 reviews per company (10 public pages at 20 reviews/page). A cap warning is emitted when Trustpilot reports more pages.
Input
companies is required and defaults to trustpilot.com. Other defaults are 25 reviews per company, newest ordering, all ratings/languages, and company replies/profile enabled. A run cannot start with an empty company list.
Output
Dataset rows are either review or company_summary. Every row carries source=trustpilot and a UTC retrieved_at. OUTPUT is JSON and REPORT.html is a self-contained HTML report. No synthetic review data is generated.
PPE readiness
The prepared event is review-result at USD 0.00050 per unique valid public review delivered. Company summaries, warnings, errors, duplicates, empty results, OUTPUT, and REPORT are not billable. Store publication and monetization activation are intentionally separate deployment steps.
Development
The Actor is intended to remain private and unpublished until an explicit release decision.
