Extract remote job postings from remotive.com: title, company, category, employment type, which countries can apply, and the full description. No login, no browser.
What you can do with it
- Monitor every open remote job on Remotive. A single run reads the whole current list of open postings.
- Filter to a role or team. Use
keywordsto keep only postings whose title, company, category or description match, for examplereactormarketing. - Check geographic eligibility before applying.
applicantCountrieslists exactly which countries a posting accepts; a short list means a real restriction (for example["US"]), a long one means effectively worldwide. - Feed a job alert or aggregator. Remotive's own JSON API is off-limits to automated callers (see "Good to know"); this Actor reads the same postings through the public sitemap and job pages instead.
Input
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
keywords | Keeps only postings whose title, company, category or description contain this text (case-insensitive). Empty means every posting. |
maxItems | The run stops once this many postings are saved (default 50). |
includeDescriptions | Adds the full job description as plain text (default on). |
Example input:
{"keywords": "react","maxItems": 50,"includeDescriptions": true}
Output
One record per posting:
{"id": "remote-job-2069746","url": "https://remotive.com/remote-jobs/software-development/tech-lead-full-stack-rails-engineer-2069746","title": "Tech Lead Full-Stack Rails Engineer","company": "Mitre Media","companyUrl": "https://www.mitremedia.com","category": "Software Development","employmentType": "FULL_TIME","remote": true,"applicantCountries": ["US", "CA", "GB", "..."],"datePosted": "2026-09-14T20:33:27+00:00","validThrough": "2026-10-15T20:33:27+00:00","description": "Role: Tech Lead Full-Stack Rails Engineer..."}
Export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API.
Why this one
- Reads the postings that currently matter. The open-postings sitemap, not a historical archive of closed jobs, so every run is about jobs you can actually apply to today.
- No browser, no login. The sitemap and job pages are plain HTTP, so runs are fast and cheap.
- Geographic eligibility kept structured.
applicantCountriesis parsed into a clean array instead of being buried in free text.
Good to know
- Remotive's own JSON API (
/api/remote-jobs) is disallowed to every automated caller byrobots.txtand its usage terms ask for a paid plan starting at $5,000/month; this Actor never calls it. It reads the public job-postings sitemap and the job pages themselves instead, both open toUser-agent: *. titlehas Remotive's own "[Hiring] ... @Company" wrapper removed, since the company is already its own field.- Any published salary is inside the free-text
description, not a separate structured field: Remotive does not publish it in the page's structured data. - A line that carries an e-mail address is dropped from the description.
- The dataset contains job postings only. Recruiter and candidate personal data is never exported.
- This is an unofficial tool, not affiliated with Remotive. Check the site terms that apply to your use.
FAQ
Does it cover every job on Remotive, or just a sample?
Every currently open posting listed in Remotive's own job-postings sitemap, up to maxItems.
Does it need a browser or a proxy? No. The sitemap and job pages answer plain HTTP requests, so runs are fast and cheap.
Why is applicantCountries sometimes a huge list?
Remotive asks employers for the countries they will accept applicants from; many choose "anywhere", which the site represents as a long list rather than a single "worldwide" flag. A short list means a real restriction.
