Data availability depends on the symbol and selected process. Fund holdings require an ETF or fund symbol.

Get started

1. Choose a process and enter your ticker symbols.
2. For history, choose the period, interval and optional rounding. Enable CSV storage if you want a separate history file per ticker.
3. Run the Actor and download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel.

Each successful lookup produces one record with ticker, type and data. History candles, news articles and fund holdings are nested inside that record. Duplicate ticker symbols are processed once. Optional history CSV files are available in the run's key-value store.

Pricing and run limits

See the Pricing tab for the active rate and any scheduled change. The pay-per-event rate is $1.25 per 1,000 ticker lookups plus $0.01 per start, including platform usage. One unit is a ticker lookup, regardless of the number of nested candles, articles or holdings. There is a 100-unit minimum per run, shared across all submitted tickers. For example, two successful lookups use the 100-unit minimum, not two separate minimums. Set a maximum run budget of at least $0.13625.

When fewer than 100 lookups are returned under pay-per-event pricing, the remaining rows are clearly marked rowType: "placeholder" with no financial data. Filter these out before analysis. The minimum also applies when Yahoo returns no usable data. The Actor stops before exceeding your maximum run charge; increase the run budget to process larger lists.

Availability

Yahoo may delay market data, omit fields, return no news, or limit requests. Short intraday intervals require shorter history periods. The Actor cannot create data that Yahoo does not provide.

If every attempted lookup is blocked, the run returns labeled placeholders with "Try another proxy". Try a different proxy configuration and run again. A symbol with no data for the chosen process is reported separately in RUN_SUMMARY, together with any unprocessed tickers. Three consecutive unsuccessful lookups end the run to avoid repeatedly requesting unavailable data.

Pay-per-event billing

Each valid pay-per-event run with at least one input includes a minimum charge of 100 result units, shared across all inputs in that run. Any placeholder rows are clearly marked and contain no scraped data; filter them out when exporting. Each separate run has its own minimum, including scheduled or API runs. Platform usage is included.

Unsuccessful lookups

Where listed in the Pricing tab, a handled lookup problem that prevents a run from returning any real results produces one clear error record and a single $0.02 unsuccessful-lookup fee, in addition to any listed start fee.
