- Assistance Listing numbers and program titles

Input example
{"keyword": "artificial intelligence","statuses": ["posted"],"include_details": true,"max_items": 10}
At least one search filter is required. Turn off full details for faster discovery when search-result fields are sufficient.
Output example
{"opportunity_id": 353936,"opportunity_number": "24-569","title": "Mathematical Foundations of Artificial Intelligence","status": "posted","agency_code": "NSF","agency_name": "U.S. National Science Foundation","close_date": "2026-10-09","aln_numbers": "47.041 | 47.049 | 47.070 | 47.075","estimated_funding": 8500000,"award_ceiling": 1500000,"award_floor": 500000,"cost_sharing": false,"funding_instruments": "Grant","details_included": true,"total_matches": 173,"grants_gov_url": "https://www.grants.gov/search-results-detail/353936"}
Common use cases
- Funding discovery for nonprofits, universities, businesses, and local governments
- Grant pipeline and deadline monitoring
- Agency and program trend analysis
- Building funding alerts, newsletters, or CRM workflows
- AI-assisted eligibility and opportunity summarization
Use with AI agents and MCP
Agents can retrieve current opportunities, compare award ranges, summarize eligibility, rank deadlines, and pass structured records into planning or CRM workflows. The Actor removes source HTML and flattens repeated classifications into predictable text fields.
Pricing and cost control
Output is billed per result at $0.003 per result (about $3.00 per 1,000 results), plus a $0.0005 Actor-start charge billed once per gigabyte of memory at run start. Use max_items to cap both output volume and charges. The price shown on the Apify Store listing is authoritative.
Reliability
The Actor uses Grants.gov's official unauthenticated search and detail endpoints, retries temporary failures, verifies API-level error codes, paginates without overlap, and preserves a stable 34-field row shape. Persistent source errors fail visibly instead of returning a misleading empty dataset.
Limitations and responsible use
- Grants.gov controls source availability, corrections, status, and update timing.
- Opportunity descriptions and eligibility text can be lengthy and may contain source formatting artifacts despite HTML cleanup.
- An opportunity match does not establish eligibility or guarantee funding.
- Deadlines and requirements can change; confirm them on the linked official opportunity before acting.
- This Actor does not submit applications or provide grant-writing, financial, or legal advice.
Turn this into a funding monitor
- Save a focused query as an Apify Task, including agency, status, closing-date, and
max_itemslimits. - Add the Task to an Apify Schedule for a daily or weekly refresh.
- Add an
ACTOR.RUN.SUCCEEDEDTask webhook or integration to send the run'sresource.defaultDatasetIdto your database, Slack workflow, email service, or downstream Actor.

FAQ
Does this require a Grants.gov account or API key?
No. The public search and opportunity-detail endpoints used here do not require authentication.
What does full detail add?
It adds descriptions, eligibility, award amounts, cost sharing, funding classifications, and agency contacts from the individual opportunity endpoint.
Can I search more than one agency or status?
Yes. Enter multiple agency codes and select multiple statuses; the Actor sends them using Grants.gov's documented multi-value format.
Why can award amounts be empty?
Some forecasts and synopses do not provide an estimated total, floor, or ceiling.
Can this tell me whether my organization qualifies?
No. It exposes the official eligibility language for research; confirm eligibility with the agency and complete announcement.
