SEC Form D Funding Feed: New Private Raises + Optional Jobs
Form D Funding Feed turns new SEC Form D filings into a clean, filterable feed of companies that just raised private money: issuer, address, industry, amounts raised and sold, investor count, first-sale date, exemptions and the people behind the company. Run it daily and you only pay for filings you haven't seen before. Optionally (off by default), attach open jobs for companies whose website is known.
Why use it
Form D is filed within 15 days of the first sale in a private raise (Reg D 506(b), 506(c) and more), so it's one of the earliest public signals that a company has new money. Raw EDGAR data is hard to use: it's spread across daily index files and XML documents, and most filers are funds and SPVs. This Actor fixes that:
- Operating companies first. Pooled investment funds are excluded by default.
- Every field, parsed. Offering amounts, amount sold, remaining, minimum investment, investors, exemptions, securities types, revenue range, commissions and finders' fees.
- Strong filters. State, industry group, exemption, offering size, amount sold, and new filing vs amendment.
- Incremental. "Since last run" mode returns new filings only, deduplicated by SEC accession number.
- Optional hiring signal. For companies with a known website (from SEC records, or a list you provide), get open job count, top titles, departments and locations from public job boards on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Recruitee, Personio, Teamtailor, Pinpoint and Polymer. Websites are never guessed.
Popular uses
- Tech & software private raises (SEC Form D)
- California private raises (SEC Form D)
- New York private raises (SEC Form D)
- Biotech & healthcare private raises (SEC Form D)
- Large private raises over $10M (SEC Form D)
Change the state, industry or amount filters in any example to fit your market.
Who it's for
- SDRs and RevOps: reach newly funded companies while budgets are fresh.
- Investors and analysts: track private raises by state, industry and size.
- Service providers (legal, accounting, insurance, fintech, banking): find companies with new capital.
- Recruiters: check which of your target companies raised and are hiring.

A RUN_SUMMARY and a per-company COMPANY_REPORT are saved to the run's key-value store, showing how each company's website and job board were resolved.
What to expect
A typical week has roughly 1,000 Form D filings, of which about a third are operating companies once pooled funds are excluded. Most runs take under a minute to a few minutes: filings are pre-filtered with the SEC's EDGAR full-text search by date, state and industry, so only likely matches are downloaded. SEC records rarely list a website for Form D issuers, so the jobs join mainly helps when you supply your own company list.
Pricing
Pay per event: $0.002 per filing returned ($2 per 1,000), plus $0.01 per filing enriched with open jobs, plus a tiny per-run start fee. Filings already returned in an earlier run with the same state key are never charged again. See the Pricing tab for current prices.
Examples: 1,000 filings cost $2 with the default settings (jobs enrichment is off by default). If you turn on joinJobs, you also pay $0.01 only for filings where open jobs were actually found. In our test week that was 1 of 321 filings, so about $0.65 total for 321 filings. The theoretical maximum (every filing has jobs) is $12 per 1,000. Set a maximum cost per run in the run options.
Integrations and API
Run it from the Apify API, schedule it daily, and send results to Google Sheets, Slack, webhooks, Zapier, Make or your CRM. It also works as a tool for AI agents through the Apify MCP server.

Track insider trades too: SEC Form 4 Insider Trades turns Form 4 filings into a feed of insider buys and sells. Together they cover private raises and insider trades from official EDGAR data.
Compliance and data use
- Data comes only from the SEC's official public EDGAR system and, for the optional jobs join, from companies' own public pages and public job-board feeds. No logins, no search-engine scraping, no CAPTCHA solving and no proxy tricks.
- We follow the SEC's fair-access policy: a declared User-Agent and request rates well below the SEC's limit. We respect robots.txt and stop contacting any site that asks us to stop.
- Personal addresses of related persons are never included. You can turn off related-person names entirely.
- Form D data is public, but you're responsible for using it lawfully, including anti-spam and privacy rules (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA) when contacting anyone.
- Not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. SEC or any job-board provider.
FAQ
Is this legal? Form D filings are public records published by the SEC for public use, and we access them the way the SEC asks automated tools to. Company homepages and job boards are public pages fetched politely.
Why is a company missing a website? We only use websites listed on SEC records or supplied by you. We never guess.
Does it cover amendments? Yes. Amendments (Form D/A) are flagged with isAmendment, amendmentSequence and the original filing. Set filingType to new for first notices only, or turn on dedupeAmendments (off by default) to get just the newest version of each offering.
Which amount do the filters use? minOfferingAmount/maxOfferingAmount use totalOfferingAmount (Indefinite offerings pass a minimum and fail a maximum). minAmountSold/maxAmountSold use totalAmountSold, the money actually raised.
