When searching for a hashtag on TikTok, such as "new york," I get 100 results. After 2 hours, when I search again, I still get 100 results, but only 2 of them are different. The other 98 results from previous searches keep appearing. I need to see different content in each search result.
Hello! Unfortunately, we are not able to offer this feature.
To avoid this you could try two different things:
- Fewer runs with larger accepting a bigger number of scraped videos. The video from a single run are not duplicates, so if you scrape 300 videos from a run, you are guaranteed to have 300 different results. Be careful because you cannot setup crazy big numbers like 1000000 due to limitations from TikTok.
- If possible, you could try different hashtags, related to the same topic, for example instead of just "new york" you could input "central park", "ny", "times square", to stimulate different results between runs.
After the run you can always do your own post processing of the scraped data.
