Doesn't scrape all videos

Hi, I hope you're doing well.

The other day, I started a task to scrape all videos featuring this sound: https://tiktok.com/music/Number-2-by-Lil-Tecca-7333523419712981803.

There were roughly 11.6k videos to the sound at the time, so I set the maximum to 12,000, but the actor stopped after scraping 4,126 videos.

I wanted to reach out to see if we could figure out why this is – I've been trying to avoid running another full scrape as I'd like to avoid incurring the relatively high cost of a full run. Any suggestions on what I should adjust or try to address this issue? Please let me know.

Hi! Thanks for the issue. This is inherent to the way TikTok web app works: it doesn't return all the results in many cases. For example, with hashtags, even if TT writes that it has several milliion videos, you usually can expect only a several hundred before scrolling down is cut. Same with comments. And sometimes even with profiles: count can fluctuate by several videos. So with music I expect it to be the same: it is going to cut after a while

Hi again, unfortunately no, for now there is no way to get more than what TikTok itself offers

Regarding high-level data, I'll be adding that and notify you when it's in the scraper

I've reviewed the output, and it's actually there: under searchMusic.videos key (make sure to select All fields)
