For a non-verified user, authorId and authorName are null, and their name is masked in the text.

Failed inputs come back as error items and are not charged. Your maximum cost per run is respected. A full Hot Search snapshot (50 topics) costs $0.05. Running it every hour for a month costs about $36.

FAQ

Do I need a Weibo account or cookies? No. The Actor uses the same anonymous guest access a browser gets when it opens Weibo without logging in.

How many search results per keyword? Weibo shows logged-out visitors the first page of each search tab, about 10 posts. With all three tabs (top, real-time, hot) that is about 20–30 unique posts per keyword. For more coverage, add more specific keywords and hashtags, or use postsPerHotTopic. Deep historical search needs a logged-in account, which this Actor intentionally doesn't use.

Comments limit? Comments are paginated. In our tests guest access returned 60+ comments per post without issues.

Personal data? By default only verified accounts are identified, and ordinary users are anonymized. If you enable includeAllAuthors, you are responsible for having a lawful basis under GDPR, PIPL and other applicable laws.

Is it legal? The Actor collects only data that Weibo shows to any anonymous visitor. It doesn't log in or bypass access controls. Make sure your use complies with Weibo's terms and the laws that apply to you.
