📰 Google News Scraper

Search Google News in 50+ country editions and get the real article links, not Google redirects. Keywords, topics, local news and top stories, with publisher, publish time, related coverage and optional full article text.

Google News Scraper reads Google News for any keyword, topic section (Business, Technology, Sports...), city or region, across 50+ country and language editions in one run. Google News normally hides every article behind an encoded news.google.com redirect. This Actor resolves the real publisher URL for each article, so the links are ready for analysis, deduplication or content extraction. Need more than 100 results? Set a date range and the Actor searches day by day, up to 100 articles per day.

🎯 Who uses it💡 What for
PR and comms teams, market researchers, investors, journalists, SEO teams, AI and RAG buildersBrand and competitor monitoring, media coverage reports, trading signals, trend research, news datasets for LLMs

  • 🗂️ Topic sections: World, Nation, Business, Technology, Entertainment, Sports, Science, Health.
  • 📍 Local news for any city, region or country name.
  • 🏠 Top stories front page per edition.

  • 🔗 Real article URLs. Encoded Google News links are converted into the real publisher URL.
  • 📅 Date control. Quick ranges (past hour, day, week, month, year) or a custom from/to range.
  • 📈 Past the 100 result limit. A custom date range is searched one day at a time.
  • 🏷️ Publisher filters. Only certain sites, or exclude sites.

❓ FAQ

Why does Google News stop at 100 articles? Each feed returns at most 100 items. Use a date range with splitByDay to get up to 100 per day.

Can I monitor a keyword every hour? Yes. Schedule the Actor with timeRange: 1h.

Is the full text always available? No. Some publishers block bots or use paywalls. Those articles keep the headline, publisher, date and URL, and include an extractionError note.

Which languages are supported? Every edition in the list, from English and Spanish to Japanese, Arabic and Hindi.

Do I need a Google account? No.
