(search 14,161 investment firms worldwide — venture capital, private equity, family offices, accelerators, angel groups and corporate venture funds)

Example searches

  • Every venture capital firm in the United Kingdom — Area: United Kingdom, Kind: Venture capital firm
  • German and French investors of every kind — Area: Germany + France
  • Family offices in North America — Area: North America, Kind: Family office
  • Accelerators and angel groups in Asia — Area: Asia, Kind: Accelerator + Angel group
  • Europe and the United States in one run — Area: Europe + United States
  • Everything, everywhere — leave the filters empty and raise the limit

Tip: continents and countries sit in the same box, and you can mix them freely. Europe beside the United States gives you both, and an empty box means everywhere rather than nowhere.

Nothing is scraped while you wait. The firms are already collected and checked, so a run finishes in seconds, and you download the result as JSON, CSV or Excel.

What you get (most of the time, when available)

  • name - the firm's name. 100%
  • website - the firm's own website. 100%
  • domain - the bare domain, such as 6thman.ventures, for matching against your own records. 100%
  • investorType - venture capital firm, private equity firm, family office, accelerator, angel group or corporate venture fund. 100%
  • description - a short, plain summary of what the firm does and what it backs. 97%
  • continent, country - where the head office is. 95%
  • city - head office city. 93%
  • address - street address, where the firm publishes one. 43%
  • sectors - what they invest in, from a short list such as AI, Fintech, Healthcare, Climate. 85%
  • stages - which rounds they back: Pre-seed, Seed, Series A, Series B, Series C, Growth, Buyout. 71%
  • contact1Name, contact1Title - someone who leads the firm, and their job title. 77%
  • contact2Name, contact2Title - a second person. 69%
  • contact3Name, contact3Title - a third person. 59%
  • contact1LinkedIn, contact2LinkedIn, contact3LinkedIn - that person's own LinkedIn page. Rarely present — do not plan around these. 15% / 9% / 7%
  • email - a contact or pitch email address. 49%
  • linkedin - the firm's own LinkedIn page. 50%
  • grossAssets - money under management, one shape with the currency in front. 50%
  • portfolio - companies the firm has funded. 28%

Every field is a plain column. Nothing is buried inside another field, so the CSV and the Excel download read straight across.

A well-filled firm, to show the shape. A typical one has fewer fields filled — the list above says how often each is there.

Typical use cases

  • Raising money — build a target list of the right kind of investor, in the right place, with a named person and an email to write to.
  • Market research — see how many firms of each kind sit in each continent, and what they say they back.
  • Competitor and deal tracking — watch who invests in your sector, and at which rounds.
  • Enriching a list you already have — match on domain and fill in the contacts, sectors and money under management.

Quick start

  1. Pick your area — any mix of continents and countries, or leave it empty for the whole world.
  2. Pick one or more kinds of investor, or leave it empty for every kind.
  3. Set how many firms to return — every matching firm by default. Lower it if you want a small sample.
  4. Press Start, then download your data in JSON, CSV, or Excel format.

The fullest records come back first, so even a small run gives you the best of them.

FAQ

How many firms are in here, and where are they? 14,161, every one with its own website.

Which countries can I pick in the Area box? The 20 holding the most firms, which between them cover 85% of the database. Every other country still comes back in the country field — pick its continent, then filter the country in your spreadsheet.

What is a corporate venture fund? A big company's own investment arm, investing the company's money rather than outside investors' — the sort of fund a large technology or industrial group runs beside its main business.

How fast is a run? Seconds. Asking for the whole database — all 14,161 firms — takes about 20 seconds. No website is opened while you wait, so nothing can be slow and nothing can be blocked.

Why is a field empty on some firms? Because it could not be confirmed for that firm. An empty field is deliberate — a guess is never put in its place.

How fresh is it? It is a snapshot, not a live feed. Firms move, close and rename, so treat a record as of its collection date.

Can I filter on sector or stage? The run filters on area and kind of investor. Sectors, stages and city come back as fields, so you can filter them in your own spreadsheet after the download.

How can you contact me? southdionysus@gmail.com or open an issue on the Apify interface.
