Ad Library Creative Tracker

Looking for the full Google Ads Transparency scraper? Google Ads Transparency Scraper & Competitor Ad Monitor searches by brand, domain or advertiser ID, filters by country, platform, format and date, finds every advertiser linking to a domain, and labels ads new / stopped / continuing. Use this Actor when you specifically need change reports for pasted ad-library page URLs.

Track public ad creatives from the Google Ads Transparency Center and other server-rendered ad-library pages. Each run extracts the ads on the pages you supply and reports which creatives are new, changed or removed since your last run of the same page — so a scheduled run becomes a competitor ad-monitoring feed.

What does Ad Library Creative Tracker do?

  • Extracts real ads from Google Ads Transparency advertiser pages: advertiser, format (text, image or video), preview image URL, first and last shown dates and a link to the ad.
  • Parses other public, server-rendered ad listing pages best-effort (ad text, call to action, landing link, images).
  • Compares every run with a saved baseline per page and writes a CHANGES report: new, changed and removed ads.
  • Filters ads by keyword across advertiser, ad copy and landing page.

What works and what does not

SourceResult
Google Ads Transparency Center advertiser page (https://adstransparency.google.com/advertiser/AR...)Real ads: advertiser, format, preview image URL, first/last shown date, link to the ad. Ad copy, CTA and landing page are not exposed by Google's public endpoint and stay empty.
Other public, server-rendered ad listing pagesBest-effort HTML parsing of article/ad-card style blocks. Layouts vary; results depend on the page.
Meta Ad Library / Facebook / InstagramNot supported — no Meta ads are returned. Those pages are rendered client-side and bot-walled, so a plain fetch cannot read them. The source is skipped with an explanation.

If a page serves a bot check or contains no ads, the source is skipped and listed in the SOURCE-ERRORS record. If nothing at all is delivered, the run ends as failed and you are not charged.

How to track competitor ads

  1. Find the competitor on adstransparency.google.com and copy the advertiser page URL.
  2. Paste one or more URLs into Public ad-library URLs and set Maximum ads.
  3. Click Start. The first run saves a baseline; later runs report what changed.
  4. Schedule the run daily or weekly in Apify Console to get a running log of new and removed creatives.

Want to search by brand name or domain instead of a URL, with ad-level new / stopped / continuing labels? Use Google Ads Transparency Scraper.

Input

{ "startUrls": [{ "url": "https://adstransparency.google.com/advertiser/AR17828074650563772417" }], "maxAds": 10 }

Optional: keywords (filter), platform, includeCreativeLinks, requestTimeoutSecs, useApifyProxy (retry blocked generic pages through Apify Proxy).

Output

  • Dataset: one row per ad (rowType: "ad"). Only real ad rows are written, so you are billed only for delivered ads. Export as JSON, CSV or Excel.
  • Key-value store CHANGES (per run): per source, counts of new / changed / removed ads versus the previous run. Baselines persist across runs in the named store ads-creative-baselines (keyed by source URL) and are never overwritten by a blocked or zero-ad result.
  • Key-value store SOURCE-ERRORS: sources that were skipped and why.

How much does it cost?

You pay per ad delivered; the Pricing tab shows the current price. Skipped, blocked and empty sources cost nothing. Set a maximum total charge in the run options to cap spending.

FAQ

Can it scrape the Meta (Facebook) Ad Library? No. Meta's ad library needs a logged-in browser session and blocks plain requests. This Actor says so instead of returning empty rows.

Does it show ad spend or targeting? No. Public ad libraries do not publish spend, targeting or performance for commercial ads, so neither does this Actor.

Is it legal? It reads public pages only, with no login. Respect each platform's terms, rate limits and the advertising and privacy rules that apply to you.

Can I use it through the API or with integrations? Yes. Run it from the Apify API, schedule it, and send results to Google Sheets, Slack, Make, Zapier or a webhook.
