Near-real-time NASA FIRMS VIIRS / MODIS thermal hotspots for your bbox AOIs, with KV watermark deltas.
Not WFIGS. Not NIFC. Not EFFIS. This Actor does not scrape incident perimeter polygons. It reads the public FIRMS Global 24h/48h CSV products from firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov, filters to your watchlist, and emits normalized firms-hotspot events. No MAP_KEY required for the CapEx path.

How it works
- Requires one or more AOIs (
bbox=[west, south, east, north]WGS84). Empty AOI is rejected — this is not a global CSV dump. - Sequentially fetches selected sensors (default VIIRS NOAA-20 + VIIRS SNPP; optional MODIS) for a 24h or 48h window with an honest
grokbob/nasa-firms-active-fire-hotspots/...User-Agent, polite gaps, Retry-After / 429–5xx backoff. - Stream-parses CSV rows → keeps only points inside your AOIs → optional FRP / confidence /
sincefilters. - KV delta: persist last-seen
hotspotId(satellite|acqDate|acqTime|lat|lon). EmitchangeType=new|seen. WithdeltaOnly=true(default), skip seen. - PPE: charge
firms-hotspotonly per successful AOI-matching row. Empty / error / outside bbox = $0.

Pricing
Pay per event: $0.0004 per successful firms-hotspot ($0.40 / 1,000 AOI-matching hotspot rows). Empty / error / outside bbox / blocked = $0. Platform also bills a standard apify-actor-start fee. Meta firms-aoi-delta-run (if emitted) is unbilled.
