P2000 Police Incidents Netherlands
Live Dutch police P2000 pages, filtered to what matters for street safety, scored 1–5 and geocoded to the street. Minutes old, not hours: police news sites and open data run far behind what is paged to officers.
P2000 is the Dutch emergency paging network. Most of it is ambulance and fire brigade traffic that
says nothing about what happened. Police pages are different: short, but they name the incident and
the street, e.g. P 1 Steekpartij Wingerdweg Amsterdam. This actor keeps only those, drops the
noise (traffic accidents, "please call the control room", test pages), and turns the rest into
clean, mappable records.
What you get
One item per incident:
{"id": "p2k-8f0c1e2d3b4a59687766aa01","at": "2026-09-26T19:25:00.000Z","level": 5,"matched": "steekpartij","where": "Wingerdweg Amsterdam","resolvedPlace": "Wingerdweg, Amsterdam","precision": "weg","latitude": 52.3949,"longitude": 4.9212,"region": "Amsterdam-Amstelland","message": "P 1 Steekpartij Wingerdweg Amsterdam","source": "p2000"}
Severity levels
| Level | Examples (Dutch stems matched) |
|---|---|
| 5 | stabbing, shooting, weapon, knife, hostage, armed robbery (steekpartij, schiet…, wapen, mes) |
| 4 | robbery, street robbery, fight, assault, sexual offence, public violence (overval, straatroof, vechtpartij, mishandeling, zeden…) |
| 3 | pursuit, threat, argument, suspicious situation, vandalism (achtervolging, bedreiging, ruzie, verdachte situatie) |
Matching is on word-start stems, because Dutch compounds freely (steek catches steekpartij
and steekincident) but a stem inside a word must not count: Bunschoten is a town, not a
shooting. A weapon always wins over context, so "aanrijding na steekpartij" is still level 5.
Pages about traffic, animals, fires, water rescues or control-room admin are dropped.
Use cases
- Safety and navigation apps: route people around a stabbing that happened ten minutes ago. This actor was built for MIRA, a walking-home app that reroutes around level 3–5 incidents while they are recent.
- Local news and journalism: an early signal, with a street, before the press release.
- Research: a time series of street violence by region and hour.
- Alerting: send each incident to a webhook, Slack, or n8n with the
pushUrlinput.

Good to know
- Geocoding uses the Dutch government's free PDOK Locatieserver and is cached between runs.
Precision is usually the street (
weg), sometimes a postcode or only the town. - Police pages are not complete. Not every police call is paged over P2000, and some regions page more than others. Treat this as a fast signal, not a crime statistic.
- Duplicates: the same call is often paged twice within seconds; it is kept once.
