Workday Jobs Scraper: open jobs from any Workday career site, new jobs only

Paste the links of Workday career sites (*.myworkdayjobs.com, *.myworkdaysite.com) and get every open job as a clean row: title, exact posted date, all locations, country code, remote or hybrid, full or part time, requisition id, job link and the full description. Schedule it with Only new jobs and each run returns, and charges, only the jobs posted since the last run.

The actor reads public job postings from Workday-hosted career sites through the same public endpoints the career sites use themselves, with an honest user agent and no circumvention: no proxies, no browser, no login, no cookies, robots.txt checked for every site. Workday hosts these sites for the employers, so please check the employer's own career-site terms before heavy use.

USD 0.50 per 1,000 jobs with details (USD 0.20 per 1,000 with list fields only). Jobs you filter out, jobs you have already seen in only-new mode and career sites that fail are free.

What people use it for

  • Recruiters and staffing agencies. Track open requisitions at named enterprise employers (many of the largest employers hire through Workday) and get a daily feed of new roles with the exact posting date.
  • Sales signals from hiring. An account that opens 20 data roles this month is investing in data. Pull the new jobs of your target accounts every morning and send them to your CRM, Clay or Slack.
  • Job boards and newsletters. Direct-from-employer postings with real dates, country codes and a link to the employer's own job page.
  • AI agents and analysts. Count openings by employer, country and job family over time, or feed fresh postings to an agent.

Why only new jobs matters

A daily watch of 200 Workday employers with about 1,000 open jobs each is 200,000 jobs per run. Re-reading all of them every day at USD 2 per 1,000 costs about USD 400 a day. With Only new jobs this actor reads the list pages, skips every job it has seen before without even opening it, and charges only the new ones: about 300 new jobs a day is USD 0.15.

Real runs on Apify, 2026-10-06: the default input returned 90 jobs with details from NVIDIA, Salesforce and Workday in 17 seconds. A first only-new run over Workday's own career site (380 jobs) returned 5 jobs and read all 19 list pages to remember the rest in 45 seconds; the next run found nothing new in 5 seconds and charged only the start.

How to use it

  1. Add career sites to Workday career site URLs, one per line. Any of these work:
    • the career site: https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite
    • with a locale: https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/External_Career_Site
    • a job link from the site: https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite/job/US-CA-Santa-Clara/..._JR2026658
    • the other Workday host: https://wd5.myworkdaysite.com/recruiting/microchiphr/External
    • a bare host, https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com, reads every career site its robots.txt lists (Salesforce lists 9)
  2. Optionally narrow the results with keywords, locations, countries, job families, remote only and posted within N days.
  3. Set Max jobs per career site and Max jobs in total. The log prints the highest possible charge before the first request.
  4. Click Start, then export as CSV, JSON or Excel, or read the dataset through the Apify API.

Finding the link. Open the company's careers page and click any job. If the address contains myworkdayjobs.com or myworkdaysite.com, paste it as it is; the actor finds the career site in it. Companies that show Workday jobs inside their own website usually link out to the Workday page when you click Apply.

Job alerts on a schedule

  1. Turn on Only new jobs and pick a State key (one per saved task, for example sales-accounts).
  2. Save the input as a task and add a daily schedule.
  3. Connect the results to email, Slack, Google Sheets or a webhook in the task's Integrations tab.

The first run returns the newest jobs up to your caps and remembers every other job on each site (it reads the list pages for that, which costs nothing per job). Every later run reads the list from the newest job down, stops at the first page it already knows, and returns only the new jobs. Turn on Report closed jobs to also get a free row with status: "closed" for every job that left the site since the last run.

Input

FieldWhat it does
careerSiteUrlsWorkday career site links, one per line. Required.
keywordsKeep jobs whose title matches any keyword. Words match at their start (engineer finds "Engineering"); keywords of 3 letters or fewer must be a whole word (AI does not match "Chair"). /regex/ is supported. Same rules as our other job actors.
locationsKeep jobs with any of these texts in any of their locations (Toronto, Remote, Germany).
countriesKeep jobs in these countries, as ISO codes read from the job (US, CA, DE). Needs job details.
jobFamiliesKeep jobs in these job families, using the career site's own family filter (Engineering, Sales). The family is returned as department.
remoteOnlyKeep jobs the employer marks remote, or with a remote location.
postedWithinDaysKeep jobs posted in the last N days, checked on the exact date. Reading stops once a whole page is older. 0 = any date.
onlyNewJobs, stateKeyReturn and charge only jobs not read before under this memory name.
includeClosedOnly-new mode: also output jobs that disappeared, as free closed rows. Reads the whole list every run.
includeDescriptionOn (default): exact date, country, time type, all locations and description, USD 0.50 per 1,000. Off: list fields only, USD 0.20 per 1,000.
descriptionFormattext (default), html or both.
maxJobsPerSiteNewest first, at most this many per career site. Default 100, 0 = no limit.
maxJobsCap for the whole run. Default 1,000.
maxConcurrencyCareer sites read at the same time. Default 3.

Examples: the default input (3 career sites, 30 jobs each) is 90 jobs, USD 0.046. 50 employers with every open job (about 40,000 jobs) is about USD 20 once; after that, a daily only-new run over the same employers costs a few cents.

Set a maximum cost per run in the run options and the actor stops cleanly when it gets there; everything saved so far stays in the dataset.

How it treats the career sites

  • Public endpoints only. Each Workday career page loads its jobs from two JSON endpoints on its own host: a job list (/wday/cxs/{tenant}/{site}/jobs) and one job (/wday/cxs/{tenant}/{site}/job/...). The actor calls exactly those, nothing else: never the apply flow, candidate pages, the talent community or anything behind a login.
  • Honest identity. Every request carries the user agent Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; workday-jobs/1.0; +https://apify.com/JTPalms). No proxies, no browser, no fingerprinting, no cookies.
  • robots.txt. Read once per host and run. A career site whose path is disallowed is skipped with a free error row (for example, NVIDIA disallows one of its sites).
  • Gentle pace. At most 2 requests at a time per employer, with a pause between requests. HTTP 429 or 503 makes the actor wait (5, 15, then 45 seconds, or what the site asks) and slow down for the rest of the run; a 403 is retried once and never more.
  • Personal data. Job postings describe the job, not people. The actor outputs no recruiter names or contact fields, and removes email addresses and phone numbers from descriptions.

What it does not do

  • It does not apply to jobs, read candidate or talent-community pages, or reach career sites that need a login.
  • It does not see jobs the employer removed before the run, or internal postings.
  • It does not look companies up by name: paste the career site link (a company-name directory may come in a later version).
  • Workday's own search is not used: it ranks by relevance, which would break newest-first reading, so keywords are matched on titles here. On very large sites (CVS Health lists over 19,000 jobs) a narrow keyword reads more list pages; that takes longer but never costs more.

Limits

  • The posting date is the date the employer posted the job; Workday gives no time of day.
  • A few employers hide the exact date; then only postedRelative is filled.
  • jobFamilies works on sites that offer a job family filter (most do). The summary lists each site's family names when nothing matches.
  • Employers sometimes move their Workday site (a new wdN number or site id). A moved site returns a free error row; paste the new link.

FAQ

Is it legal? The actor reads job postings that employers publish for anyone to see, through the same public endpoints their career pages use, identifies itself honestly, respects robots.txt and stores no personal data. Workday's own website terms cover Workday's own sites; the career sites belong to the employers, so check the employer's terms before heavy or commercial reuse. If you republish jobs, link to jobUrl so candidates apply with the employer. This is not legal advice.

How does Only new jobs work? Per state key and career site, the actor keeps the requisition ids it has read in a key-value store named workday-jobs-state in your own Apify account. Jobs left out only by your caps are remembered too, so they do not come back later. Jobs cut off by your cost limit stay new for the next run. Changing filters under the same state key keeps the old memory (the summary warns you); use a new state key to start over, or delete the store in Storage.

Why is department empty? Workday puts the job family on its filter, not on the job. Filter by jobFamilies and the matched family is filled in.
