Pulls every federal SBIR and STTR award on record — company, principal investigator, business contact, agency, phase, award amount, and socioeconomic flags. Filter by agency, program, phase, or keyword, or just let it run and get the full cumulative dataset.

SBIR/STTR Awards Aggregator Features

  • Returns the full award record, not just a title and a dollar figure — company address, PI, business contact, contract number, UEI, and dates
  • Filters by agency or military branch (DOD, HHS, NSF, NASA, DOE, NAVY, USAF, and 38 others), program (SBIR/STTR), phase, or free-text keyword
  • Carries the HUBZone, woman-owned, and socially/economically disadvantaged flags that most SBIR scrapers skip
  • Covers the full cumulative award history, not a single fiscal year or solicitation round
  • Resumable — a run that stops partway through picks up exactly where it left off, at no extra charge for records already delivered

Who Uses SBIR/STTR Award Data?

  • Venture investors — source dual-use and deep-tech deal flow by tracking which startups just landed Phase II defense or biotech funding
  • Sales and business development teams — build prospect lists of grant-funded small businesses before their competitors call
  • Market researchers and journalists — track federal R&D spending by agency, technology area, or region
  • Competitive intelligence teams — monitor a competitor's SBIR/STTR pipeline across agencies and phases

How SBIR/STTR Awards Aggregator Works

  1. Give it a keyword, an agency, a program, a phase — or leave every filter blank to crawl the full corpus
  2. It works through the award listing and opens each award's detail page
  3. Each award comes back as one structured record — company, people, money, status, dates
  4. Results land in your dataset as the run goes, so you can start using earlier records before a large run finishes

Resuming a large crawl

Every run emits a resumeCursor in its Output. If a large crawl stops before it finishes — because it hit maxItems, your spend cap (maxTotalChargeUsd), or was aborted — start a new run with the same input plus that resumeCursor to continue from where it left off. The crawl resumes from the queued work the previous run didn't reach.

  • You are not re-charged for records the earlier run already delivered.
  • Resume within your account's run-retention window — on the free tier, roughly your 10 most recent runs. Once the source run is pruned, its resumeCursor is no longer valid.
  • resumeCursor is opaque — supply it unmodified.

FAQ

How do I scrape SBIR and STTR award data?

SBIR/STTR Awards Aggregator needs no account, no API key, and no scraping know-how. Set maxItems, optionally narrow by agency, program, phase, or keyword, and run it.

What data can I get from SBIR.gov?

Every public field tied to an award — company details, principal investigator, business contact, agency and branch, award amount, contract number, UEI, and the HUBZone/women-owned/disadvantaged socioeconomic flags, plus the full research abstract.

Can I filter by agency or branch?

Yes. Pass one or more codes in agencies — top-level agencies like NSF, NASA, DOE, HHS, and DOD, or military branches and components like NAVY, USAF, ARMY, and DARPA.

How much does SBIR/STTR Awards Aggregator cost to run?

Pricing is pay-per-event — you're charged per record returned, not a flat per-run fee. Set maxItems and a spend cap to control the bill on a large pull.

Does this cover older awards, or just the current fiscal year?

SBIR/STTR Awards Aggregator covers the full cumulative award history, not a single solicitation round — leave every filter blank for the complete corpus.

Why Use SBIR/STTR Awards Aggregator?

  • Complete field set — socioeconomic ownership flags (HUBZone, woman-owned, disadvantaged) that most competing SBIR scrapers don't carry
  • Real filter pivots — narrow by agency, branch, program, and phase, so you get only the awards you asked for and never pay for ones you'd throw away afterward
  • Full history — the cumulative award record, not a snapshot of this year's solicitations
