Names, registered addresses, SIC codes, incorporation dates, and (optionally) the directors' names. Straight from the official Companies House register: legal, ban-proof, and fresher than scraped B2B data.

How to use it (zero setup)

1. Set your niche's SIC codes (e.g. 62012 business software, 56101 restaurants, 43390 fit-out contractors, 86230 dental practices — full list). No API key needed; the actor runs on its built-in key.
2. Run it on a weekly schedule. Defaults cover the trailing 7 days — every Monday you get last week's new companies in your niche.
3. Pipe the dataset into your CRM via the Apify API, export to Sheets, or trigger enrichment downstream.

Running at volume? Add your own free Companies House key (developer.company-information.service.gov.uk, 2 minutes, no card) and every event bills at the discounted BYOK rate.

Pricing

Pay per event: lead-found per company, or lead-enriched when directors are included. Zero-setup runs (built-in key) bill the -zero-setup variants at the standard rate; bring your own free key for the discounted rate. Failed lookups are never charged. Set maxItems to cap spend.

Data source & fair use

Companies House public API — the official UK register (Crown copyright). Company and officer records are public by law; process them lawfully downstream (UK GDPR applies to how you use them, e.g. B2B outreach under legitimate interest with opt-out). This actor is not affiliated with Companies House.

Telemetry

Each run records one anonymous telemetry event to the developer's own storage: a salted hash of the caller account ID (never the raw ID), the run origin (e.g. web console vs API), and a timestamp. No inputs, results, or personal data are collected - this only measures adoption (distinct and returning users).
