Which groups are supported? Public Telegram groups. Private groups and broadcast channels are not supported.

What if I paste a channel link instead of a group? The run still finishes successfully. The channel URL is skipped and the dataset includes a short notice telling you to scrape it with the Telegram Keyword Search Scraper in scraping mode Channel Scraping. Notice rows do not trigger message or member billing events. Apify platform costs may still apply.

A public link does not always mean the group lets the scraper read its messages. If a group requires administrator approval, is private, cannot be found, or is a channel, the Actor skips it and finishes successfully when there are no technical failures. Open Output to see the reason and what to do next. Other accessible groups continue to be processed.

Links copied as [group](https://t.me/YourGroup), @YourGroup, or public message links are accepted automatically. Duplicate group links are collected once. Invalid links receive their own explanation instead of disappearing silently.

Does a successful run guarantee results? No. It means the run completed as expected. If every group is inaccessible, Output contains explanations rather than messages or member profiles. These notices do not count toward the reported number of collected results and do not trigger result billing events.

Does this export every Telegram member? No. Active members are identified from a recent message sample, ranked by their activity in that sample, and included only when they have a public username. It does not export a complete subscriber list. Profile fields can be empty when they are not publicly available.

What if Telegram or the service has a technical problem? Network failures, service authorization problems, exhausted retries and unexpected errors remain failed runs. Any results collected before the problem remain in Output.

Are the examples real personal data? The message and member examples above are illustrative. Your results depend on the group and its current accessibility.
