Start with 10–100 results per topic. The requested count is a maximum target, not a guarantee. On a free Apify plan, each run stops at 10 total results; paid plans remove this account-level cap.

Date filters apply to keyword results and are checked against each post's publication timestamp. Unknown dates are excluded when a date filter is active. Results are not guaranteed to be chronological; sort the createdAt column after export. API callers may also use relative date values such as 30 days.

The direct-link example is illustrative: replace it with a real public post URL. Direct URLs bypass topic and date filtering because you have selected the exact posts. Their searchKeyword, isRelevant and relevanceProbability values are null.

Additional available fields include creator biography and statistics, verification flag, video duration and dimensions, cover and media URLs, music information, mentions, sticker text and photo-post images. Missing details are null or empty arrays. Engagement reflects the public page at collection time. Media URLs may expire, and availability varies by post and region.

A post is saved once per run across all topics and direct URLs. Direct URLs are processed first; otherwise, searchKeyword identifies the first topic under which the post was saved. Run summary shows saved, rejected, unavailable and out-of-range counts and elapsed time.

Relevance filtering and coverage

Keyword results must pass the relevance check. It considers available caption, hashtags and sticker text; it does not watch the video, transcribe speech or analyze images. The probability is an estimate, not a guarantee. Review a sample for your use case. Public post text and search topics may be processed by external services for this feature.

If relevance checking fails, the run reports an error instead of saving unverified keyword results. Previously saved, verified results remain available.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a TikTok account? No. The Actor reads public posts without your login or cookies.

Can it collect private or deleted videos? No. Private, removed, restricted or otherwise unavailable posts are skipped.

Does it collect every TikTok post about a topic? No. Coverage depends on public discoverability and availability. This is not a complete archive or guaranteed real-time feed.

Does it collect comments or followers? It returns available counts and creator statistics, not comment text or follower lists.

Why are fewer results returned than requested? Some candidates are unavailable, unrelated, duplicated or outside your date range. Broaden the topic or date range to improve coverage.

Can I schedule searches? Yes. Use Apify schedules and connect the dataset to your workflow. Deduplication applies within each run.

How much does it cost? Check the current pricing panel on the Actor page. Keyword relevance checking is included in the standard saved-video event; rejected candidates are not billed as saved videos. Runs respect your configured spending limit.
