💡 What It Does

This Actor checks if a website (domain) has or had ads listed in Meta’s public Ads Library — covering Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Threads, and Audience Network.

Just give us your list of domains — paste them or upload a file — and the Actor will:

• 🔍 Clean your input list (removes https://, www., paths, query strings)
• 🧩 Combine duplicates into a single domain check
• 🌍 Run the ads check for each unique domain
• ✅ Return hasAds: true or false for every domain

⚠️ Important notice
Meta Ads Checker is designed to handle large domain lists with multiple filters. Because of this, runs can take longer — for example, checking 1,000 domains may take around 30–35 minutes.

Please allow the Actor to finish — it will do the job reliably.
Also, do not change the default memory setting (8 GB) in “Run options.” Lower memory (2 GB default) may cause instability.

⚙️ Input Options

Meta Ads Checker keeps things simple with two parts: your domains, and optional filters.

🗂 Your domains

Give us your list of domains in whichever way is easiest for you — you can even use both at once, they'll be combined automatically:

• 📝 Paste them directly — one domain per line, hundreds or thousands at once. Use domains only (like example.com), not company or brand names — Meta's Ads Library doesn't reliably return results for plain names.
• 📤 Or upload a file — a JSON, CSV, or Excel (.xlsx) file that already has your domains in it. Legacy .xls files aren't supported — just re-save as .xlsx first.
  • Two simple steps: 1) upload your file, 2) tell us the column name (CSV/Excel) or key name (JSON) where your domains live — for example domain or website
  • Works with nested JSON too, using dot notation (e.g. site.domain)
  • If a row has more than one domain (an array, or several domains separated by a comma/semicolon in one cell), all of them are checked

Click open the “Filters for Meta Ads Library” section to refine your search — these match the filters you'd find on Facebook's own Ads Library page. Leave everything as default to search as broadly as possible:

• 🌐 Country — choose “All countries” or focus on a specific market
• 📊 Ad status — check only currently active ads, or all ads ever run (active + inactive)
• 📱 Platforms — limit results to Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Threads, or Audience Network
• 🎨 Media type — filter by creative type (image, meme, video, etc.)
