Why Use This Scraper?

• Engagement numbers. Reads (阅读), likes (点赞), wows (在看), shares, favorites and comment count per article, e.g. reads: 28522, shares: 978.
• Account history. Give a gh_ ID, a WeChat ID, or any article from the account, and get its published articles newest first.
• Account discovery. Search Official Accounts by topic: name, gh_ ID, WeChat ID, description, verified company and original-article count.
• Comments and replies. Each comment as its own row, with likes, IP location and featured/pinned flags, and every reply under it as a row too.
• Two search engines. Sogou's index (cheap cards) or WeChat's own search (real article links, sort by newest or most liked, last-24-hours / 7-days / 6-months filters).
• Full text when you have the link. A public mp.weixin.qq.com/s/… URL returns body text, gh_ id, WeChat ID, description and account type.
• Only-new monitoring. Schedule a keyword or account watch; articles already delivered are skipped and not billed, and no stats are bought for them.
• No login. No WeChat account and no cookies on your side.

Overview

This actor is for people who need a structured stream of WeChat Official Account data: brand mentions, China news, competitor accounts, KOL research, without a WeChat account.

Rows are told apart by type:

• article: from Sogou (source: "sogou"), WeChat search ("wechat-search"), account history ("account-history") or a pasted URL ("wechat"). Add includeStats and each article gets a stats object.
• account: from account search ("wechat-search").
• comment: from includeComments ("article-comments"), linked to its article by articleUrl.
• reply: from includeReplies ("comment-replies"), linked to its comment by commentId.

Sogou hides the real article URL behind a /link?url= hop, so Sogou cards can't carry stats or comments. Switch searchSource to wechat when you want engagement data on keyword results.

How It Works

1. Keywords go to Sogou (default) or to WeChat's own search (searchSource: "wechat").
2. Accounts are listed page by page, newest articles first.
3. Pasted mp.weixin.qq.com URLs are read from the article page itself.
4. With includeStats, each article that will be returned gets its read/like/share counts. With includeComments, its comments follow it as rows.
5. Optional monitoring skips articles already delivered to you, before any stats are bought.

FAQ

Do I need a WeChat login? No. You give keywords, accounts or links; the actor needs no WeChat account or cookies from you.

Why do Sogou rows have no stats or comments? Sogou hides the real article link behind /link?url=. Set searchSource to wechat and the same keyword returns real links with stats and comments.

How fresh are the read counts? They are fetched at run time; statsFetchedAt records when. Re-run (or schedule) to track growth.

Some articles have no stats. Was I charged? No. Stats are billed only for articles that come back with numbers.

How do I find an account's gh_ ID? Use accountKeywords, or paste any article from the account into accounts.

Does monitoring charge for articles I already have? No. Already-delivered articles are skipped before any data is bought, and not billed. The first monitored run returns current matches and builds the baseline (emitBaseline: false makes it silent).

Can I run two watches from one account? Yes. Give each schedule its own monitorStateName.

Does this scrape WeChat Channels / 视频号 or WeChat Index? No.
