UK Parliament Scraper

Looks up UK Parliament members by house through the official Members API. No login, no proxy, no browser.

Input

Field	Type	Notes
`house`	string	`Commons` \| `Lords`. Default `Commons`.
`nameContains`	string	Filter by member name. Omit to list in order.
`maxItems`	integer	Cap on members returned. Default `40`.

Output

One row per member: id, name, listAs, fullTitle, gender, party, partyAbbreviation, house, constituency, memberSince, memberUntil, endReason, isActive, thumbnailUrl.

Notes

Every record is wrapped in a value envelope upstream and the party and membership sit in nested objects; those are flattened here so a row is a single flat record.
house is a number upstream (1 for Commons, 2 for Lords) and is translated to the name, so the column reads correctly without a lookup.
A null membership end date means the member is currently sitting, which is what isActive encodes. Former members remain in the API with an end date and a reason such as "Dissolution".
