Troubleshooting
Why am I getting no results?
Verify that your ZIP code is a valid 5-digit code and that your NAICS code is correct. Some ZIP codes may have no data for certain industries. Try removing the NAICS filter to see if any data exists for the ZIP code.
The run is taking too long.
Reduce the maxItems setting or limit the number of ZIP codes. Large requests can take time because the Actor must query the Census service for each combination.
I got an error about invalid input.
Make sure ZIP codes are 5-digit strings without spaces or dashes, and the NAICS code is a valid numeric code. The maxItems must be between 1 and 1,000,000.
The output has fewer records than I expected.
The Census Business Builder may not have data for every ZIP code and NAICS combination. Check the sample output to see which fields are populated, and try broadening your ZIP code list.
Can I get data for a whole state instead of ZIP codes?
This Actor currently accepts only ZIP codes. To cover a state, provide a list of all ZIP codes in that state. You can find ZIP code lists online or from the Census Bureau.
