🚀 Google Keyword Volume Scraper: Bulk Keyword Search Volume, CPC and Competition

Check Google keyword search volume for one keyword or thousands at once. The Google Keyword Volume Scraper returns each keyword's average monthly searches, a 12-month history, cost per click (CPC), Google Ads competition and the top-of-page bid range, for any country and language. Use it as a bulk keyword volume checker, a CPC checker or the data layer of your own keyword research tool. No Google Ads account needed.

🎯 Use Cases

  • Keyword research at scale: check the search volume of a whole keyword list (hundreds or thousands of phrases) in one run instead of pasting them into a keyword tool in small batches.
  • CPC checker for PPC planning: get the average CPC and the low and high top-of-page bid for every keyword before you set Google Ads budgets.
  • Content and SEO prioritisation: rank blog topics, landing pages and product pages by real Google search volume.
  • Seasonality and trends: use the 12-month history to see when a keyword peaks (Black Friday, summer, back to school) and plan content ahead of it.
  • Market sizing by country: compare the same keywords across the US, UK, Germany, Poland and other markets before you launch.
  • Enrich keyword lists: add volume, CPC and competition to keywords you got from Search Console, a competitor audit or a brainstorm.

✨ Features

  • Monthly search volume: the average monthly Google searches for every keyword.
  • 12-month history: month-by-month volumes, oldest first, to spot seasonality and trends.
  • CPC and bid range: average cost per click plus the low and high top-of-page bid in USD.
  • Ad competition: Google Ads competition level (LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH) and a 0–100 competition index.
  • Any country and language: pick the market with a two-letter country code (90+ countries); the language defaults to the country's main language.
  • Bulk lists: up to 1,000 keywords per lookup, and several lookups in one run when you raise Max results.
  • Clean input: keywords are trimmed and lower-cased, duplicates are checked once, and invalid keywords (over 80 characters or 10 words) are skipped.
  • Fair billing: you pay only for keywords that have data. If no keyword in a batch has data, the batch fee isn't charged either, and the run never goes over your maximum charge.

🛠️ How to Check Keyword Search Volume

  1. Paste your keywords, one per line (up to 80 characters and 10 words each).
  2. Pick a country (us by default) and, optionally, a language.
  3. Run the scraper and download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or pull them through the API.

⚙️ Input

FieldWhat it does
KeywordsKeywords to check, one per line.
CountryTwo-letter country code of the search market (us, gb, de, pl…). Default us.
LanguageOptional two-letter language code (en, de, es…). Empty = the country's main language.
Max resultsThe maximum number of keywords to check. Default 1,000; raise it for longer lists.

With an empty input the scraper checks web scraping, seo tools and keyword research in the US.

{
"keywords": ["running shoes", "trail running shoes", "running shoes for flat feet"],
"country": "gb",
"maxItems": 1000
}

For a 5,000-keyword list, set maxItems to 5000: the scraper splits the list into lookups of 1,000.

💰 Pricing

Pay only for what you use. No monthly rental.

EventPriceWhat you get
Keyword with data$0.003 per keyword ($3 per 1,000)Search volume, 12-month history, CPC, competition, competition index and bid range
Keyword batch lookup$0.10 per batch of up to 1,000 keywordsOne lookup fee per batch: a run with 1–1,000 keywords pays it once, 1,001–2,000 twice, and so on
Actor start$0.00005 per runCharged once when the run starts.

Keywords Google has no data for are not charged. Examples: 10 keywords = $0.13 · 1,000 keywords = $3.10 · 10,000 keywords = $31.00.

Tip: the batch fee is per run, so one run with 800 keywords ($2.50) is much cheaper than 80 runs with 10 keywords each ($10.40). Set your maximum charge to at least $0.11 so the batch fee and one keyword fit.

monthlySearches is shortened here; a real row has 12 months. searchVolume is the 12-month average, so a keyword with a seasonal spike shows a lower average than its peak months. competition and competitionIndex describe advertiser competition in Google Ads, not how hard it is to rank organically. spellingCorrection holds Google's corrected spelling when it treats your keyword as a misspelling, and is null otherwise.

🔁 Schedule and Integrate

Google updates keyword volumes once a month, so run the same keyword list monthly to track how demand changes, or weekly during a launch or a seasonal peak. Set it up in Apify Schedules. Send the results to Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n or a webhook with Apify integrations, so new volumes land next to your content plan or PPC sheet.

🤖 Use with AI Agents (MCP)

This Actor works as a tool in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients through the Apify MCP server (https://mcp.apify.com), so an agent can check search volume while it plans content or ads. An agent can call it with:

{ "keywords": ["keyword research tool", "cpc checker"], "country": "us" }

❓ FAQ

Does Google have an official API for keyword search volume? Google's Keyword Planner lives inside Google Ads, and the Google Ads API needs an Ads account, a developer token and approval. Exact volumes there usually need an active ad spend. This Actor needs no Google account or key: you paste keywords and get volumes, CPC and competition back as a dataset.

How do I check keyword search volume in bulk? Paste the whole list into Keywords and set Max results to at least the list length. Up to 1,000 keywords cost one $0.10 lookup fee plus $0.003 per keyword with data.

Where does the data come from? From Google Ads keyword planning data, the same figures Keyword Planner shows. Volumes are monthly averages rounded into Google's volume brackets (for example 8,100, 9,900, 12,100).

Why is a keyword missing from the results? Google has no volume data for it in that country (too rare, or not a real search). The first few such keywords are listed in the run's status message, and they are not charged.

Can I get volumes for a country other than the US? Yes. Set Country to a two-letter code such as gb, de, fr or pl. An unsupported code stops the run with the list of supported codes.

Do I need a Google Ads account or a login? No.
