Turn a list of companies into hiring-intent signals — a compact, structured read on what each company is hiring for, right now, straight from its own careers system.

A company that's hiring is a company that's growing and spending. This actor gives sales, lead-gen, recruiting and market-intelligence teams a fast, per-company signal instead of a raw jobs dump: how many roles are open, which departments are hiring, whether they're adding engineers or salespeople, how fresh the postings are, and an overall growth read.

Data comes live from each company's ATS via public APIs (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workday, BambooHR, Personio) — no proxies, no login, no LinkedIn/Indeed.

Who it's for

  • B2B sales & lead-gen — hiring is a buying trigger (a company scaling its sales team needs sales tooling; one scaling engineering needs dev tools/cloud).
  • Recruiters & staffing — spot who's actively hiring and in which functions.
  • Investors & market intel — track headcount-growth signals across a portfolio or market.

Output

One row per company:

{
"company": "stripe",
"ats": "greenhouse",
"status": "ok",
"totalOpenRoles": 510,
"postingsLast30Days": 118,
"newestPostingDate": "2026-07-11T00:00:37.000Z",
"remoteRoles": 102,
"remoteShare": 0.2,
"topDepartments": [{ "name": "Solutions Architecture", "count": 19 }],
"topLocations": [{ "name": "Dublin", "count": 35 }],
"categories": { "engineering": 153, "sales": 93, "marketing": 46, "product": 32, "design": 18, "operations": 78, "finance": 31, "people": 3, "executive": 16 },
"hiringEngineering": true,
"hiringSales": true,
"growthSignal": "high"
}

growthSignal is high / moderate / low / none, based on recent posting velocity relative to size. hiringEngineering and hiringSales are quick booleans for filtering.

Companies with no detectable public ATS come back with status: "ats_not_found" and zeroed metrics — still one clean row per company you asked about.

Notes & accuracy

  • Recency by ATS. postingsLast30Days and newestPostingDate use each ATS's posting timestamp. Some platforms (e.g. Greenhouse) expose a last-updated time rather than the original post date, which can make recent activity look higher — treat growthSignal as directional, not exact. Counts, departments, and category signals are precise.
  • Workday dates. To stay fast, this actor doesn't open each Workday posting, so Workday companies may report roles without dates (recency undercounted); totals and departments are unaffected.
  • Coverage. Only companies on the seven supported ATS platforms produce a signal. Pass a full board URL for the most reliable detection (required for Workday).
  • Built on public job-board APIs; you are responsible for using the output in line with your own legal and compliance requirements.
