EPA Certified Wood Stove & Pellet Stove Database Search

Search, export and monitor the official US EPA Certified Wood Heater Database: about 1,600 wood stoves, pellet stoves, hydronic heaters (outdoor wood boilers) and forced-air furnaces. Each record includes manufacturer, model names, efficiency, particulate emission rate, CO, heat output (BTU), firebox volume, fuel type and whether the model meets the 2020 NSPS (Step 2) standard.

Source: EPA Certified Wood Heater Database (public US government data). The Actor downloads EPA's own Excel exports, so results match the EPA site exactly. No login or proxy needed.

Why use it

• Hearth retailers and ecommerce sellers: check that every stove you list is EPA certified and meets the 2020 standard before you sell it.
• Tax credit and rebate programs: filter models listing 75%+ efficiency, the threshold used for the US biomass stove and boiler tax credit, and use the list for wood stove changeout programs.
• Bulk model lookup: paste a list of model names (or wildcards like *1330*). Models EPA doesn't list come back as epaCertified: false.
• Monitoring: schedule weekly with monitor mode to get only newly certified (or removed) models.
• Market research: compare manufacturers, efficiencies and emissions across the whole US market in a spreadsheet.

certification_status	all, current (meets 2020 NSPS) or previous (previously certified only).
appliance_types / fuel_types	Contains filters, e.g. Pellet Stove, Cord Wood.
manufacturers	Manufacturer contains, e.g. Hearth and Home.
models	Exact model names or wildcards. Unmatched exact names are output as not found.
keywords	Match any keyword in manufacturer, model, type or fuel.
min_efficiency	Minimum EPA-listed efficiency (%).
only_tax_credit_eligible	Only models listing 75%+ efficiency.
max_emission_rate_g_per_hr	Max particulate emission rate for room heaters.
only_newly_listed	Only models EPA flags as New.
only_new / report_removed	Monitor mode: output only changes since the previous run.
max_items	Limit results (0 = all).
