Grants.gov Scraper: Federal Grant Opportunities & Funding Alerts
Get weekly alerts for new federal grants your organisation can apply for. Each opportunity comes with the award ceiling and floor, estimated total funding, number of awards, eligible applicant types and deadlines, from the official Grants.gov API. No API key is needed.
Use it to:
- 🔔 Get a weekly grant alert for your nonprofit. For example, health grants (
HL) open to 501(c)(3)s (12), delivered to your inbox or Slack. - ✍️ Support grant-writing consultants by tracking new and forecast opportunities across all your clients, using one State key per client.
- 🎓 Track funding from specific agencies such as NSF, NIH or DOE for a university research office.
- 📊 Build a funding database in Google Sheets or Airtable with Apify integrations.
Why this Actor:
- A forecast that later becomes a posted opportunity is flagged as new, so you can start preparing early.
- Grants.gov's test records are filtered out.
- Agency contact details are removed.
How much does it cost?
You pay per event: a small fee per run start plus a fee per result. A daily alert that returns 20 new items costs only cents per day. Use maxResults or the run's Max total charge to cap spend.
Example inputs
Everything posted in the last 7 days, with details:
{ "postedWithinDays": 7 }
Health grants open to nonprofits:
{ "fundingCategories": ["HL"], "eligibilities": ["12"], "statuses": ["posted"] }

Agency contact names, emails and phone numbers are removed.

- Pricing: pay per event, a small fee per run start plus a fee per opportunity.
