Website Tech Stack Lookup & Reverse Lead Finder
Detect what any website is built with — or reverse the question and get every domain using a technology, complete with contact emails, lead score and country. A fast, no-subscription BuiltWith and Wappalyzer alternative for sales prospecting, lead generation and competitive research.
What does Website Tech Stack Lookup do?
It answers two questions from one Actor:
- Find mode (reverse lookup) — "Which websites use Shopify and Klaviyo?" Give it up to 10 technologies and get back every domain that runs all of them, optionally limited to one country and to established sites. This is the expensive part of BuiltWith and Store Leads — here it is pay-per-domain with no monthly fee.
- Detect mode (forward lookup) — "What is allbirds.com built on?" Paste domains (or full URLs) and get the full technology stack of each: CMS, ecommerce platform, analytics, tag managers, payment processors, marketing automation, CDN, hosting, security and more.
Every result carries public contact emails, phone numbers, social profiles, domain rank, a 0–100 lead score and lead segments, so the output is a ready-to-import prospecting list. The technology catalogue holds over 7,000 technologies.
How it compares
| This Actor | tugelbay (tech detector) | seibs.co (Shopify discovery) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forward tech detection | ✅ | ✅ | Shopify only |
| Reverse "find domains by technology" | ✅ | ❌ | Shopify only |
| Contact emails + phones included | ✅ | ❌ | ✅ |
| Works for thousands of technologies | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |
| Lead score + segments | ✅ | ✅ | partial |
| No subscription | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
Use cases
- SaaS sales teams — build target lists of stores using (or missing) a competitor's tool.
- Agencies — find every WordPress, Shopify or Webflow site in a market for outreach.
- Martech and ecommerce apps — segment prospects by their exact stack and contact them.
- Competitive research — see which technologies a cohort of sites runs.
- Enrichment — append tech stack and contact emails to a domain list you already have.
How to use it
- Open the Input tab and pick a Mode: Find domains by technology or Detect tech stack of my domains.
- Find mode: enter one or more technologies, e.g.
ShopifyandKlaviyo. Capitalisation does not matter. Optionally choose a Country, a Minimum domain rank (about 200+ skips tiny sites) and Max domains to return. - Detect mode: enter one domain per line, e.g.
allbirds.com. Full URLs,www.and paths are stripped for you. - Click Start. Most runs finish in a few seconds.
- Download the results from the Output tab as JSON, CSV or Excel, or fetch them through the API.
If you fill in only domains (or only technologies), the Actor uses the matching mode on its own. If an input cannot be run — an unknown technology name, more than 10 technologies, no valid domain, a budget cap that is too low — the run finishes with an input_error row that explains what to change, and nothing is charged.
Example input
{"mode": "find","technologies": ["Shopify", "Klaviyo"],"locationCode": "2840","minDomainRank": 200,"maxResults": 250}
Input configuration
| Field | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
mode | string | find | find = domains using the given technologies; detect = tech stack of the given domains. |
technologies | array | — | Find mode. Up to 10 names; a domain must use all of them. Case-insensitive. Some brands are listed by product, e.g. Yotpo Reviews rather than Yotpo; unknown names return suggestions. |
locationCode | string | "" (any) | Find mode. Only domains attributed to this country: US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, India, Spain, Italy, Netherlands. |
minDomainRank | integer | — | Find mode. Only domains with at least this rank (0–1000+). |
maxResults | integer | 100 | Find mode. Maximum domains to return, 1–1,000. |
domains | array | — | Detect mode. Domains or URLs, up to 1,000 per run. |
includeContactInfo | boolean | true | Include public emails, phone numbers and social profiles. |
includeRawTechnologies | boolean | true | Include technologies_grouped, the full category-by-category breakdown. |
maxBudgetUsd | number | — | Safety cap. If the estimated charge is higher, the run stops before doing any work and charges nothing. |
webhookUrl | string | — | POST the run summary to this URL when the run finishes. |
Example output
One technology_record per domain (a real Find-mode result for Shopify + Klaviyo, US, rank 200+):
{"record_type": "technology_record","mode": "find","domain": "motorkote.com","domain_rank": 200,"country_iso_code": "US","language_code": "en","title": "MotorKote Heavy Duty Fuel & Engine Products. Tested. Trusted. Proven.","description": "MotorKote is the heavy duty solution for Diesel and Gas engines, Fuels and Lubes…","last_visited": "2026-08-27 04:52:11 +00:00","primary_ecommerce": "Shopify","primary_cms": null,"technology_count": 11,"technologies": ["Shopify", "Klaviyo", "Cloudflare", "Amazon Web Services", "reCAPTCHA", "Revy", "theTradeDesk", "UPS", "HTTP/3", "AWS Certificate Manager", "Booster Page Speed Optimizer"],"signals": {"is_shopify": true, "is_woocommerce": false, "is_wordpress": false,"has_ecommerce": true, "has_payment_provider": false, "has_marketing_automation": true,"has_analytics": false, "has_advertising": true, "has_cdn": true},"lead_score": 66,"lead_segments": ["shopify-store", "ecommerce", "uses-marketing-automation", "has-contact-email"],"contact_emails": ["sales@motorkote.com"],"contact_phones": ["8887715656"],"social_urls": ["https://twitter.com/Mr_MotorKote"],"data_status": "ok","run_id": "…","scraped_at": "2026-09-23T03:23:16.568Z"}
technologies_grouped (when enabled) holds the same technologies nested by group and category. In Detect mode, a domain the index has no data for is still returned, with data_status: "no_data", and is never billed. The last row of every run is a run_summary with the technologies queried, the country used, total_matches_available, how many rows were billable, and the charge.
How much does it cost to look up a tech stack?
Pay per result, no monthly subscription. Prices on the standard (Free/Bronze) plan; Silver and Gold plans get 10% and 20% off automatically.
| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Run start | $0.001 per run |
| Domain found (Find mode) | $0.005 per domain returned |
| Domain analyzed (Detect mode) | $0.04 per domain with a detected stack |
Each Find lookup also has a fixed data cost, so a lookup that returns fewer than about 30 domains is billed on that cost instead of per domain: roughly $0.04 for a lookup that matches nothing, rising to about $0.15 at 29 domains. From about 30 results upward you pay exactly $0.005 per domain. Worked examples:
- Find, 250 Shopify + Klaviyo stores: $0.001 + 250 × $0.005 ≈ $1.25.
- Find, 1,000 domains: $0.001 + 1,000 × $0.005 ≈ $5.00.
- Find, 5 domains: minimum charge applies, about $0.06.
- Detect, 20 domains: $0.001 + 20 × $0.04 ≈ $0.80 (domains with no data are not charged).
- Input problem (unknown technology, budget cap too low, no valid domain): $0.
FAQ
Do I need an API key or an account anywhere else? No. Set the inputs and run.
Why did my technology return suggestions instead of results? Names must match the catalogue. Capitalisation is fixed for you, but some products are listed under a longer name — Yotpo Reviews, Yotpo SMSBump — and the run tells you the closest matches.
Can I search for sites using Shopify OR WooCommerce? One lookup returns domains using all listed technologies. Run one lookup per alternative (or a Task per technology) and merge the results.
Can I find stores that use one tool but NOT another? Use Find mode for the required technologies, then filter the output by the signals or technologies you want to exclude.
Where do the emails come from? Public contact data associated with each domain. Use it responsibly and in line with applicable laws.
Is the country filter based on where the company is? It uses the country the index attributes to each domain. Most domains carry one; domains without a country attribution are left out when a country is selected.
