It covers attorneys listed in the public California State Bar attorney directory, which includes active, inactive, resigned, disbarred and otherwise ineligible licensees. You can reach any of them by searching a name or firm, or by looking up a specific bar number.

How many results can a single search return?
A name or firm search returns up to 500 matches from the directory, the same cap the State Bar search page uses. Use a more specific query, or pass a list of bar numbers, to target exactly the attorneys you need.

Can I look up specific attorneys directly?
Yes. Provide a list of bar numbers and the scraper fetches each full profile directly, with or without a text search. You can combine a search query and a bar-number list in the same run.

Why are some fields like email or website empty?
The State Bar profile only shows the contact details each attorney chose to publish, so phone, email and website are present for some attorneys and blank for others. Discipline summary is filled only when the profile records a status change or action.

Does it handle the email scrambling on the profile pages?
Yes. The profile pages hide the real email among decoy addresses, and the scraper resolves the genuine one that is actually shown to a visitor.
