Frequently Asked Questions
Does this cover the whole Discogs database or just one region? It covers the full global Discogs catalog. Releases, master releases, artists and labels from every country in the database are searchable, and prices are reported in their native marketplace currency.
How many records can I get in one run? Set the Max Releases value to whatever you need. One run can search several queries and process many direct URLs at once, and results stream into the dataset as they are collected.
Can I scrape specific releases or artists by URL instead of searching? Yes. Paste release, master, artist or label URLs into the Discogs URLs field and the scraper pulls each one directly. You can mix search queries and URLs in the same run.
Where do the marketplace prices and ratings come from? When Fetch Full Details is enabled, each release is enriched with its live lowest marketplace price, the number of copies for sale, and the community rating. Turn it off for a faster, listing only run.
What happens if a release has no price or is not for sale? Price and for sale fields are simply left empty for that record, and the rest of the data is still returned. Records that cannot be fetched are reported with an error field so the run never fails silently.
