What it does

The actor searches Rakuten Ichiba, Japan's largest online marketplace, for each keyword you pass, applies the optional genre, shop, price, stock and review filters, paginates through the matching items, deduplicates by item code, and writes one normalized product record per item to the run's dataset. Prices are returned in JPY, postage and tax flags are decoded to readable strings, availability is a boolean, and every record carries the keyword that found it.

A free Rakuten Web Service applicationId is required. Register a free app at webservice.rakuten.co.jp, then paste the ID into the applicationId input. The key stays private to your run.

Billing and limits

FAQ and troubleshooting

Why do I need an applicationId? Rakuten Ichiba's item search requires a free Rakuten Web Service key. Register an app at webservice.rakuten.co.jp in a few minutes and paste the applicationId into the input. The key stays private to your run.

A run returned only an error record. Why? The most common cause is a missing or invalid applicationId. The actor writes one honest error record and does not charge. Register or re-check your key and run again.

Can I search in Japanese? Yes. Pass Japanese keywords in searchQueries, for example ワイヤレスイヤホン. English keywords work too.

How do I restrict results to one shop or category? Set shopCode for a single shop, or genreId for a Rakuten genre. Combine with keyword and price filters.

Why is catchcopy or availability null? Not every shop sets a tagline, and availability is not always reported. Missing source values are returned as null, never invented.
