Scrape Jora.com — SEEK's Asia-Pacific job aggregator — by keyword and location, across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong. One flat price per job. No login, no API key.
Jora aggregates postings from hundreds of source boards and company career sites into one index per country, so a single run gives you far broader coverage than scraping any one job board. Each record carries the company, SEEK employer rating, parsed salary (min / max / period / currency), job type, role highlights, location and posted date.
What you get per job
Every job returns these — they come from the search results themselves:
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
job_id, job_url | 374935ac…, Jora job page |
title, company | Software Developer, Ticketek |
location, country, country_code | Sydney NSW, Australia, AU |
salary_display / _min / _max / _period / _currency | $71,638 - $71,638 a year, 71638, 71638, year, AUD |
job_type, tags | Full time, ["No experience required"] |
abstract, abstract_bullets | 3-bullet role summary |
company_rating | 3.5 (SEEK employer rating, where Jora shows one) |
posted_raw, is_new, sponsored, rank | Posted 10h ago, true, false, 1 |
Detail fields — these live on Jora's job-detail pages, which sit behind Cloudflare. Switch on Fetch full job details to get them. They are never charged separately, and a job is always returned with its full listing data above whether or not its detail page comes back:
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
description_text, description_html | full job description |
apply_url | external ATS link |
review_count, reviews_url | 24, SEEK reviews page |
source | origin board Jora aggregated from |
Inputs
- Country / market —
au,nz,sg,my,id,hk(defaultau). - Keywords + Location — exactly as you'd type them on Jora.
- Posted within — Jora's own Listed date filter:
Any time,Last 24 hours,Last 7 days,Last 14 days,Last 30 days. Filtering happens at the source, so older jobs are never fetched and never billed — useful for a daily "new jobs only" run. - Start URLs (advanced) — paste full Jora search URLs (with your own filters);
overrides the fields above and paginates each one. Every filter in the URL is kept on
every page — posted-within (
a=24h|7d|14d|30d), job type (jt), salary (sa), distance (r). A date filter in the URL always beats the Posted within dropdown. - Fetch full job details — off by default; included in the per-job price. Adds the description and apply link (see above); it costs extra request time, so leave it off if you only need the listing fields.
- Max jobs per run — safety cap (default 20;
0= unlimited). - Proxy — Apify RESIDENTIAL by default (Jora is behind Cloudflare).
Common uses
- Recruiters / staffing — build candidate-facing job feeds or track which employers are hiring for a role across an entire country.
- GTM / sales intelligence — a company posting a job is an active hiring-intent signal; pair with contact enrichment for outbound.
- Labour-market & salary intel — aggregate salary bands, job types and posting volume by role/region.
- Job boards / ATS / CRM — ingest fresh, structured postings on a schedule.
Notes
- Server-rendered pages; the scraper reads the live HTML — no browser automation.
- Salary appears only when the employer states it (many postings don't).
- Jora is behind Cloudflare. The scraper matches its HTTP/TLS fingerprint to the browser headers it sends, pins the residential exit IP to the market's country, and retries any response that comes back as a challenge — or that parses to no description — on a fresh session. Measured on the AU market, that returns the description on 98 of 100 jobs (nurse/Sydney, 25 jobs × 4 runs). Other markets have thinner residential pools and were not measured; every run logs its own actual fill rate at the end, so you never have to take this number on faith.
