Whop Scraper - Communities, Courses & Creator Leads

Disclaimer: This Actor is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Whop Inc. or any of its subsidiaries. All trademarks mentioned are the property of their respective owners. "Whop" is referenced only to describe the publicly available website this Actor collects data from.

Scrape the Whop marketplace - paid communities, courses, coaching programmes, newsletters, software and services - with member counts, average ratings, review counts, total page views, launch dates and the creator behind each listing.

No API key, no login, no browser. Pick the categories you care about and results stream into a dataset you can export as JSON, CSV or Excel.

Why this Whop scraper?

This Actor walks Whop's own published category sitemap - roughly 950 niche categories across 12 top-level trees - deduplicates everything it finds and returns one clean row per listing. That makes it a census of what is actually selling on Whop, not a snapshot of one page.

Use cases

  • Creator-economy research - size a niche by member counts, ratings and views instead of guessing from social follower counts.
  • Competitor tracking - watch the communities in your category, what they charge attention for, how many members they hold and how fast they are growing.
  • Creator lead lists - every row carries the owner's username and profile URL, so a category sweep is also a prospect list for agencies, tool vendors and sponsors.
  • Niche discovery - sweep all 12 trees and rank sub-categories by total members or reviews to find where the demand actually sits.
  • New-launch monitoring - monitor mode plus a schedule gives you a feed of communities as they appear.
  • Market datasets - a deduplicated, structured census of a marketplace that publishes no public API.

How to use

  1. Sign up for Apify - the free plan is enough to try this Actor.
  2. Open the Whop Scraper, tick the categories you want (or leave the defaults) and click Start.
  3. Watch listings stream into the dataset table.
  4. Export as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or RSS - or pull results programmatically through the Apify API.

Input

{
"categories": ["coaching-and-courses", "software", "paid-groups"],
"maxCategories": 60,
"maxResults": 1000,
"minMembers": 100,
"minReviews": 5,
"verifiedOnly": false,
"monitorMode": false
}
  • categories - pick from the 12 top-level trees: coaching and courses, services, software, physical products, paid groups, events, marketplaces, brick and mortar, newsletters, telehealth, gig economy, other. Each is expanded into its sub-categories automatically, deepest niches first.
  • maxCategories (default 25) - how many sub-categories to crawl. Around 950 exist.
  • maxResults - global cap on rows.
  • minMembers / minRating / minReviews / minViews / verifiedOnly - filters. Listings removed by a filter are never charged.
  • startUrls / urlsFromFile - paste /discover/browse/ URLs, link a .txt or .csv file, a Google Sheet or a Drive file, or use the {"requestsFromUrl": …} shape.
  • outputFields - pick exactly the columns you want.
  • monitorMode / monitorStoreName - remember what has already been returned and emit only listings that are new since the last run.

Output

One row per listing. Empty fields are omitted, so exports never carry blank filler columns:

"category": "coaching-and-courses",
"categoryPath": "coaching-and-courses/trading-and-investing/forex-trading"
}

Good to know

  • Up to 24 listings per category. Whop renders the first 24 of each category in the page itself and loads the rest from a private API that its robots.txt disallows, so this Actor does not touch it. Most of Whop's ~950 niche categories hold fewer than 24 listings, so those come back complete; the run message tells you exactly which categories were topped out.
  • Browse by category, not by keyword. /discover/search/ is disallowed by the same file, so there is no free-text search box. The category tree is the way in - and it reaches the whole marketplace.
  • No prices. Whop publishes no price on its browse listings, and its product pages carry no price field either - pricing is set at checkout, per plan. Member counts, ratings, reviews and views are the demand signals that are published.
  • Duplicates are removed within a run and charged once, not once per category a listing appears in.
  • A run never fails on a transient block. It ends Succeeded with whatever it collected plus a status message explaining what happened.

How much does it cost to scrape Whop?

This Actor uses Apify's pay-per-event pricing: you are charged only for the results it delivers, with no monthly rental and no start fee. The events it can charge are:

  • Product - One Whop listing with its full record - title, URL, verified flag, member count, average rating, review count, total views, creator pitch, launch date, logo and banner, and the owner's username, display name and profile. Listings dropped by your member, rating, review, view or verified filters are never charged, and duplicates across overlapping categories are charged once.

The current price of each event is shown on the Pricing tab of this page. Set a maximum total charge on the run if you want a hard cap on spend, and use the input limits to control how much the Actor fetches.

Automate & schedule

Run this Actor on autopilot and pull results into your own stack:

import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'MY_APIFY_TOKEN' });
const run = await client.actor('scrapesage/whop-scraper').call({
// your input - see the Input section above
});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
console.log(`Got ${items.length} records`);

Integrate with any app

Connect the dataset to thousands of apps - no code required:

  • Make - multi-step automation scenarios.
  • Zapier - push new records straight into your CRM or spreadsheet.
  • Slack - get notified when a scheduled run finds something new.
  • Google Drive / Sheets - auto-export every run to a spreadsheet.
  • Airbyte - pipe results into your data warehouse.
  • GitHub - trigger runs from commits or releases.

Use with AI assistants (MCP)

The output is clean, LLM-ready JSON. You can call this Actor from Claude, ChatGPT or any agent framework through the Apify MCP server - describe the data you need and let the assistant run this Actor for you.

Agent-ready: autonomous payments (x402 & Skyfire)

This actor is agent-ready — AI agents can discover it, run it, and pay for it autonomously, with no Apify account and no human in the loop. It uses pay-per-event pricing and limited permissions, so it qualifies for Apify's agentic-payment standards:

  • x402 — an open, HTTP-native payment protocol. Agents pay per run in USDC on the Base network directly through the Apify MCP server — no account, no API key.
  • Skyfire — agent-to-service payments for fully autonomous AI-agent workflows.

Tips

  • Sweep wide, then filter. Raise maxCategories and set minMembers or minReviews rather than guessing which niches matter - filtered rows cost nothing.
  • Rank by totalViews per member to find listings with heavy traffic but a small community: the ones that are converting badly, or just launched.
  • Deduplicate creators on ownerUsername to turn a category sweep into a creator list rather than a listing list.
  • Sort by createdAt to see what launched this month - or use monitor mode on a Schedule and let the Actor tell you.
  • Trim your columns. Set outputFields to the handful you need and the CSV lands ready for a spreadsheet.
