What is Website Contact Scraper?
Website Contact Scraper turns a list of websites into a clean list of business contacts: emails, phone numbers and social profiles, with one row per website. Paste your websites, click Start, and export the results to a spreadsheet or your CRM.
You pay per website, and only when contacts are found. A site with nothing on it, or a site that is down, costs nothing.
Try it now: the example below reads two websites in a few seconds.
What can this contact scraper do?
- One row per website. Everything found across a site is merged into a single row, so there is nothing to deduplicate afterwards.
- Goes straight to the right pages. After the home page, it visits the contact, legal notice, about and team pages, in the main European languages.
- Finds hidden addresses. It reads mailto links, tel links, text such as
name [at] site.comand addresses protected by Cloudflare. - Clean results. File names that look like emails, placeholder addresses and scripts are filtered out. The site's own addresses and role addresses such as
info@come first. - Social profiles: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest and GitHub, without share buttons.
- Respects robots.txt. Pages a website asks crawlers to avoid are skipped.
- Fast. About 10 websites at a time. In our tests, 8 websites took 3 seconds.
Because it runs on Apify, you also get:
- Scheduling: refresh your contact list every month.
- API access: start runs and read results from your own code.
- Integrations: send results to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets and more.
- Monitoring: get alerted when a run fails or returns less than expected.
- Exports: download results as JSON, CSV or Excel.
What data can you extract from a website?
| Data | Example field |
|---|---|
| Email addresses | emails |
| Phone numbers | phones |
| Social profiles | linkedin, facebook, instagram, twitter, youtube, tiktok, pinterest, github |
| Site name and language | name, language |
| Pages read | pagesVisited, pages |
How to find contacts from a list of websites
- Paste your websites into Websites, one per line, with or without
https://. - Optionally change Maximum pages per website. More pages find more contacts and take longer. The price does not change.
- Turn on Only role addresses if you want
info@orsales@addresses and no named people. - Click Start. When the run finishes, open the Output tab and download the results as CSV, Excel or JSON.
How much does it cost to scrape contacts from websites?
You pay once per website where contacts are found, however many pages were read. Websites with no contacts, unreachable websites and duplicates cost nothing. The price depends on your Apify Store discount tier:
| Store discount tier | Price per website with contacts |
|---|---|
| Free plan | $0.003 |
| Bronze | $0.0027 |
| Silver | $0.0024 |
| Gold and above | $0.0021 |
At the Bronze price:
| Websites with contacts | Cost |
|---|---|
| 100 | $0.27 |
| 1,000 | $2.70 |
| 10,000 | $27.00 |
Set the run's maximum charge to cap spending: the Actor stops before exceeding it.
Input example
{"websites": ["python.org","crawlee.dev"],"maxPagesPerWebsite": 5}
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
websites | One website per line, up to 10,000 per run |
maxPagesPerWebsite | Pages to read per website, from 1 to 20 |
genericEmailsOnly | Keep only role addresses such as info@ |
Output example
A real result for the input above, with the list of pages shortened. One dataset item per website:
{"website": "https://python.org/","domain": "python.org","status": "ok","name": "Python.org","language": "en","emails": ["psf@python.org","python-announce@python.org","webmaster@python.org"],"phones": [],"linkedin": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/python-software-foundation","twitter": "https://twitter.com/ThePSF","github": "https://github.com/python/cpython/issues","pagesVisited": 5,"pages": ["https://www.python.org/","https://www.python.org/about/help/"]}
Fields with nothing to report are left out. Websites that cannot be read produce an item with "status": "error" and an error message saying why, and are not charged.
Use cases
- Lead generation: turn a list of company websites into a list of contacts.
- Sales prospecting: enrich a CRM or a spreadsheet with emails and phone numbers.
- Partnerships and outreach: find who to write to at each company.
- Market research: map the social presence of a list of competitors.
- Agencies: clean and complete client lists in bulk.
Tips for better results
- Keep 5 pages per website. Contact details are usually on the first pages, and raising the limit rarely adds much.
- Use a clean list. Duplicates are merged and only the first link to a site is kept.
- Pair it with a directory or maps scraper to go from a business category to a list of websites, then to contacts.
- Turn on Only role addresses when you do not need named people.
FAQ
How do I extract emails from a list of websites?
Paste the websites into Websites and start the run. Each row of the results lists the emails, phones and social profiles found on that site.
Am I charged if no contact is found?
No. You pay only for websites where at least one email, phone number or social profile was found.
Does it verify that the emails work?
No. It reports the addresses published on the website. Use an email verifier before a large mailing.
Why was a website not read?
Some websites block automated visitors, return an error or need a login. Those rows say why, and they are not charged.
Does it work on websites built with JavaScript?
It reads the page as the server sends it. Sites that load all their content with JavaScript may return few contacts or none.
Is it legal to scrape contact details?
This Actor only reads pages that are publicly available and respects robots.txt. But results can contain personal data, such as the address of a named person, protected by laws like the GDPR. You are responsible for having a legal basis to collect and use it, and for rules on unsolicited messages in your country. Only role addresses leaves out named people's addresses. If you are unsure, ask a lawyer.
Can I use it from my own code, Make, Zapier or n8n?
Yes. Call it through the Apify API (see the examples below), or connect it with Apify's integrations for Make, Zapier and n8n.
Limits
- Publicly visible pages only: no login, no forms.
- No JavaScript rendering, so content loaded later in the browser is not seen.
- Phone numbers in text are recognised when written with an international prefix.
tel:links work in any format. - Addresses inside images are not read.
- Up to 10,000 websites and 20 pages per website.
