Italy MEPA Scraper — Acquisti in Rete PA Tenders

Search and extract Italian public procurement RdO (Richiesta di Offerta) and tender notices from acquistinretepa.it, the Acquisti in Rete PA marketplace run by Consip on behalf of Italy's Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF). Filter by keyword, notice type, publication date, or estimated value. Returns notice title, buying authority, estimated value, category and deadline. No API key, no login required.

How to scrape acquistinretepa.it data

This actor reads notice data directly from the same public JSON API that powers the site's own "Bandi" (tender showcase) search page, requested as structured JSON rather than scraped from rendered HTML. Acquisti in Rete PA is Italy's MEPA (Mercato Elettronico della Pubblica Amministrazione) — the national digital marketplace where every Italian public administration, from small municipalities to ministries and hospital authorities, publishes RdO (Requests for Quotation) and other procurement notices for goods, services and works.

Enter your search keywords, pick optional filters, and run. Each search request returns full notice detail — title, buying authority, value, category, publication and deadline dates — in one response, so there's no separate detail-page fetch per notice. That makes runs faster and less prone to breaking than portals that require opening each result individually.

Who benefits from this data?

  • Government contractors — Monitor new RdO opportunities daily across Italian municipalities, ASL (health authorities), ministries, and state-owned companies. Never miss a relevant tender in your industry.
  • Market researchers — Analyze Italian public spending patterns, procurement volumes and category trends across regions and sectors.
  • B2B sales teams — Identify which Italian public bodies are buying what you sell. Build targeted prospect lists across the Italian public procurement market.
  • Consultancies and advisory firms — Track procurement activity by category or buyer to advise clients on Italian market entry and bidding strategy.
  • EU/EEA market intelligence — Pair with our other European procurement actors to build a cross-country tender monitoring pipeline.

Search by keyword

Enter any keyword to find relevant notices. The acquistinretepa.it search API has no built-in full-text index, so this actor fetches notices in bulk (sorted by publication date, newest first) and matches your keyword against the notice title, buying authority name, category, and description locally. Examples: "informatica" (IT), "pulizia" (cleaning), "sanità" (healthcare), "manutenzione" (maintenance), "trasporti" (transport). Leave empty to return the most recent notices unfiltered.

Filter by notice type

  • RDO Aperte — open Requests for Quotation (RdO) published by individual public administrations, the bulk of day-to-day Italian public buying activity
  • Altri Bandi — other tender notices published outside the standard RdO flow
  • All (default) — both types combined

Filter by date and value

Use publishedAfter/publishedBefore to monitor new publications within a window, and valueMin/valueMax to target contracts of a certain size. The date filter is applied server-side; the value filter is applied locally against the disclosed estimated value on each notice.

Tips for best results

  • Daily monitoring: Run on a schedule to catch new RdO notices within hours of publication. Set publishedAfter to yesterday's date for fresh opportunities only.
  • Notice type targeting: Filter to rdo for the bulk of day-to-day public buying activity, or altribandi for less common notice types.
  • Category keywords: Since there's no server-side full-text index, broader keywords (a category word rather than a very specific product name) return more matches per page scanned.
  • Combine with our other European procurement actors: Pair with Hilma (Finland), eTenders (Ireland), BASE.gov.pt (Portugal), or Udbud.dk (Denmark) for broader European coverage.

How much does it cost to run?

The acquistinretepa.it search API is free and requires no login. Your only cost is Apify compute time. Because full notice detail comes from bulk search pages (up to 100 notices per request), this actor is cheap and fast to run.

Search sizeEstimated timeEstimated cost
20 notices~5–10 seconds~$0.005
100 notices~15–30 seconds~$0.01
500 notices~1–2 minutes~$0.03

Actual cost depends on Apify plan and how many pages must be scanned to find enough keyword matches; a run's final usage cost only settles after the run reports SUCCEEDED — reading the dataset mid-run will undercount it.

Use as an API

from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_API_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("studio-amba/acquistinretepa-scraper").call(run_input={
"searchQuery": "informatica",
"noticeType": "rdo",
"maxResults": 50,
})
for notice in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
print(f"{notice['itemTitle']} | {notice['organization']} | Deadline: {notice['deadline']}")

Limitations

  • No full-text search on the source API: acquistinretepa.it only supports an exact notice-number lookup and a buyer-name filter server-side. This actor works around that by scanning bulk search pages and filtering locally, up to a scan cap — very narrow keywords on a large date range may need a higher maxResults to surface enough matches.
  • No CPV codes or NUTS region codes: unlike EU-wide eForms portals, Italy's MEPA uses its own merchandise-category taxonomy instead of CPV, and doesn't expose a region field on notice listings.
  • Estimated value not always disclosed: some RdO notices below reporting thresholds don't publish an estimated value.
  • "Altri Bandi" is a small category: most day-to-day activity is under RDO Aperte; Altri Bandi typically has very few open notices at any given time.
