What does Amazon Bestsellers Tracker do?
Amazon Bestsellers Tracker reads the public Amazon Best Sellers and Hot New Releases lists of any category on Amazon and returns ranks 1 to 100 as clean rows: rank, ASIN, title, price, currency, star rating, review count, image and product link. Run it on a schedule and every row also gets its previous rank, its rank change and an isNew flag, so you see which products climbed, fell or just entered the chart. It works like a small Amazon Best Sellers API for 20 marketplaces: the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Canada, India, Australia and more.
It sends plain HTTP requests through Apify datacenter proxy (no browser), so a full 100-rank list usually takes well under a minute and costs little to run.
Why use it?
- Product research: find what sells right now in a niche before you source or list a product.
- Rank monitoring: schedule it daily and get only the products that are new or moved (monitor mode).
- Launch tracking: watch the New Releases chart for your own or a competitor's launch.
- Market reports: compare the same category across countries (amazon.com vs amazon.de vs amazon.co.jp).
- AI agents: one call returns a ranked list an agent can reason about.

How to track Amazon best sellers
- Open an Amazon Best Sellers or New Releases page in your browser and copy its URL, e.g.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/electronics. - Paste it into Best Sellers or New Releases URLs (as many as you like, from any supported marketplace). Or type category paths such as
booksortoys-and-gamesand pick the list types and marketplace. - Choose how many ranks you need (up to 100).
- Turn on Monitor mode if you will run it on a schedule and only want changes.
- Click Start, then download the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel, or schedule the run in Apify.
How much does it cost?
Pay per result: $3 per 1,000 ranked products ($0.003 per row) plus a $0.00005 start fee per run. One full 100-rank list costs about $0.30. In monitor mode you pay only for the rows that are new or changed rank, so a stable chart costs close to nothing on repeat runs. Lists that are blocked, do not exist (404) or are empty are free, and so are rows where Amazon returns only the ASIN without details. The Apify free plan's $5 monthly credit covers about 1,600 rows.

Tips
previousRankandrankChangeneed an earlier run with the same State store name. Use a separate name for each tracker you schedule.rankChangeis positive when a product moved up (from rank 9 to rank 4 gives +5).- Set Ranks per list to 50 or less to load one page per list.
- Category paths can include sub-categories, e.g.
kitchen/289913. Copy them from the Amazon URL after/gp/bestsellers/.
Amazon Bestsellers Tracker vs Amazon Product Scraper
This Actor covers the ranked lists only. For a full product page (bullets, variants, seller, Best Sellers Rank of one ASIN) or keyword search results, use our Amazon Product Scraper and feed it the ASINs from this list.
FAQ
Does it support Movers & Shakers?
No. Amazon serves that list empty to plain HTTP clients, so this Actor accepts only Best Sellers and New Releases URLs and returns a free error row for Movers & Shakers links.
How often does Amazon update the lists?
Amazon refreshes Best Sellers ranks about every hour. A daily or hourly schedule in Apify works well with monitor mode.
What happens on the first monitor-mode run?
There is no earlier snapshot, so the full list is saved (and charged) as the baseline. Later runs save only new or moved products.
Why is the price missing on a few rows?
Some products have no current offer on the list page. The row is still saved with its rank, title and rating.
Is scraping Amazon legal?
This Actor reads public pages only, with no login. Check that your use of the data complies with Amazon's terms and the laws that apply to you.
