Output
A real row from the 2026-10-16 run above, abridged: long lists and bulky text fields (attributes, variants, aPlusContent, productDescription, aiReviewsSummary, aboutThisItem, importantInformation and others) are left out.

How to use it
- Create a free Apify account or log in.
- Open the actor, enter a keyword, URL or ASIN, and press Start. Or open the prefilled run.
- Open the Output tab and export as CSV, Excel or JSON.
No field is required. An empty input runs an example search for "wireless mouse" so you can see real data first.
Input
This is the exact input of a run on 2026-10-16:
{"keywords": ["wireless mouse"],"maxItems": 10,"maxPages": 1,"scrapeProductDetails": true,"maxOffers": 0,"autoProxyFallback": true,"proxyConfiguration": { "useApifyProxy": false }}
| Input | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
keywords | none | One search per line. Results in Amazon's ranking order |
startUrls | none | Search, category or product pages on any supported site. The site is read from each URL and filters in a search URL are kept |
asins | none | 10-character product ids, fetched from the country below |
countryCode | US | Amazon site for keywords and ASINs. URLs carry their own |
zipCode | none | Delivery zip or postcode, set before scraping |
maxItems | 20 | Total products, 1 to 5,000. Set it explicitly when calling from the API |
maxItemsPerQuery | 0 (no cap) | Cap per keyword or URL |

sort | Amazon default | relevance, price-asc, price-desc, avg-rating, newest, best-sellers |
primeOnly | false | Keep only rows with a Prime badge. Reliable on amazon.com only |
scrapeProductDetails | true | Open each product page for the full field set. Off gives a faster run with search-card fields only |
maxOffers | 0 (off) | Add up to this many seller offers per product |
autoProxyFallback | true | Switch to Apify residential proxy after two blocked attempts in a row when no proxy was chosen |
proxyConfiguration | no proxy | Your own Apify Proxy group or custom proxies |
What does Amazon Product Search do?
It reads public Amazon search-result and product pages, in Amazon's own ranking order, opens each product page for the full detail set, removes duplicates and writes one row per unique product (by marketplace and ASIN) to an Apify dataset. Download it as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML, or read it through the API.
Who uses it:
- Sellers and brands watching competitor prices, ratings, badges and search position for their keywords.
- Price monitors re-checking a fixed list of ASINs on a schedule.
- Review, deal and price-comparison sites (including commission-link publishers) that need titles, images, prices and features for a category.
- Market researchers sizing a niche from review counts, best-seller ranks and Amazon's "bought in past month" figure.
How much does it cost?
Pay per event, no monthly rental. Read from the actor's Apify pricing on 2026-10-16:
| Event | Free | Bronze | Silver | Gold | Platinum | Diamond |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Product extracted (per unique row delivered) | $0.004 | $0.0034 | $0.003 | $0.0026 | $0.0026 | $0.0026 |
| Actor start (per GB of run memory, minimum one) | $0.00005 | $0.00005 | $0.00005 | $0.00005 | $0.00005 | $0.00005 |
That is $4.00 per 1,000 products on the free plan and $2.60 on Gold and above. The price is the same with details on or off. Apify's free plan includes $5 of monthly platform credit, which covers about 1,200 products at the free-plan price. Set a maximum cost in the run options to cap any run.
Use it from the API or AI assistants
$curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/transparent_meteorite~amazon-product-search/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=$APIFY_TOKEN" \n -H "Content-Type: application/json" \n -d '{"keywords":["wireless mouse"],"countryCode":"US","maxItems":20}'
For Claude, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client, add the Apify MCP server:
{"mcpServers": {"apify": {"url": "https://mcp.apify.com/?actors=transparent_meteorite/amazon-product-search","headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>" }}}}
To track prices over time, schedule the actor on a list of ASINs and join datasets on marketplace + asin, comparing price and scrapedAt.
Use cases and n8n automation ideas
Run this actor from an n8n workflow with the Apify node or an HTTP Request node, then read the dataset items in the next step. Ideas:
- Price monitoring. Track price and list price for products from a keyword, URL or ASIN.
- Product research. Compare ratings, review counts and bought-in-past-month across results.
- Catalog checks. Run from n8n on a schedule and flag price or stock changes.
Use cases in detail
Competitor price and badge watch. Put your competitors' ASINs in asins, set countryCode, and schedule the actor daily. Each row carries price, listPrice, badges, isAmazonChoice and availability, and scrapedAt timestamps the snapshot, so appending runs into one sheet gives you a price history. Compare price against listPrice to spot discount depth.
Keyword rank tracking. Rows from a keyword search keep Amazon's own order in position and page. Run the same keywords list every week and look up your ASIN: the change in position is your organic rank movement. Rows with isSponsored: true show which results are ads.
Niche sizing. reviewCount, rating, monthlyPurchaseVolume (the lower bound of Amazon's "bought in past month" text) and bestsellerRanks let you compare products in a category without opening a single page. A niche where many listings show high monthlyPurchaseVolume but low rating is a gap for a better product.
Catalog building for review, price-comparison and commission-link sites. Use title, brand, images, features and url to seed a product page. Turn on scrapeProductDetails so the full feature list, specs and images are present.
Market comparison across countries. The same ASIN can be fetched from different sites by changing countryCode. Prices are returned in each site's currency in the currency field, so convert before comparing.
Example: a weekly rank and price tracker
{"keywords": ["stainless steel water bottle"],"countryCode": "US","zipCode": "10001","sort": "best-sellers","maxItems": 100,"maxPages": 3,"scrapeProductDetails": false}
Switching scrapeProductDetails off returns only the fields shown on the search card (title, price, rating, badges, position), which is faster and enough for rank tracking. zipCode makes delivery text and some prices match a US delivery location instead of Amazon's default.

Sample output
Three real rows from a recent run of this Actor. Personal data is masked, some fields are left out and long values are shortened for readability.

Cost examples
Straight multiplication of the product price in the pricing table above. The start event is a small fraction of a cent per run.
| Job | Products | Free plan ($0.004) | Gold and above ($0.0026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| First test | 20 | $0.08 | $0.052 |
| Rank check, one keyword, 3 pages | 100 | $0.40 | $0.26 |
| Daily watch of 50 ASINs for 30 days | 1,500 | $6.00 | $3.90 |
| Large category pull | 5,000 | $20.00 | $13.00 |
Duplicates and blocked pages are not charged, so a run that hits a block costs less, not more.
Tips for cleaner data
- Search results mix organic and sponsored rows. Filter on
isSponsoredif you only want organic rank. priceis null when Amazon shows "See price in cart" or the item is unavailable. CheckavailabilityandinStockbefore treating a missing price as zero.boughtInPastMonthis Amazon's rounded text such as "10K+ bought in past month".monthlyPurchaseVolumeis the numeric lower bound, not an exact sales figure.- Pass
minPrice, maxPriceandminRatingto narrow a search before it is scraped instead of filtering afterward. Products you filter out are never charged. - For ASIN lookups,
position, pageandqueryare null because no search was run.
Legal and compliance note
The actor reads public product pages the way an anonymous visitor sees them and never logs in or solves captchas. Amazon's terms limit automated access; you are responsible for how you use the data and for staying within the law that applies to you, including copyright on product images and descriptions if you republish them. This is general information, not legal advice.

- Website Contact Extractor: emails, phones and social links from a brand's own website.
Limitations
- Product data only: no customer reviews, questions, reviewer profiles or seller contact details.
- Pages are read as an anonymous visitor sees them. Without
zipCode, prices and delivery are for Amazon's default location (for amazon.com, often outside the US). Treat each row as a snapshot atscrapedAt. - At most 5,000 products per run and 20 result pages per search. Split larger jobs.
- amazon.fr is not supported. Outside amazon.com, logged-out pages rarely show Prime, so
primeOnlycan return nothing there. - Amazon blocks a share of automated traffic. The actor retries and never solves captchas; a search that stays blocked delivers nothing and costs nothing. For heavy volumes, expect to need a residential proxy.
- Amazon can change its pages at any time, which can empty a field until the actor is updated. Report it on the Issues tab with the run URL.
FAQ
Do I need an Amazon account, cookies or an API key? No. The actor never logs in and you supply no cookies.
Why did I get fewer products than maxItems? The search had fewer results on the pages you asked for (raise maxPages), duplicates were removed, a search was blocked (see OUTPUT.warnings), or your maximum cost was reached.
Why are brand or seller empty? They come from the product page. Either details are off or that page could not be read; source is then search.
Can I get prices for a specific delivery area? Yes, set zipCode. locationText shows the location Amazon priced the row for. If Amazon refuses the code, the run continues at the default location and says so in the warnings.
What is monthlyPurchaseVolume? The lower bound Amazon shows in "bought in past month" text, as a number. It is Amazon's figure, not our estimate.
Does it collect reviews? No. It returns product data, the star breakdown and Amazon's AI review summary when shown, but no individual reviews or reviewer data.
Is it legal to scrape Amazon? The actor reads only public pages anyone can open without logging in, and collects no personal data. Amazon's Conditions of Use restrict automated access, so you are responsible for using the data within Amazon's terms and applicable law. If unsure, ask a lawyer.
This Actor vs junglee/Amazon-crawler: that one is the most-used and also returns reviews. Choose this one for one deduped row per product with best-seller rank and the bought-in-past-month figure, where duplicates and blocked pages are never charged.
