UK Contracts Finder Scraper — tender and award notices to JSON/CSV

Export UK Contracts Finder notices as clean, flat JSON, CSV or Excel: tender title, description, buyer, contract value in GBP, closing date, CPV code and a direct link to the official notice. Built on the official Contracts Finder OCDS search API, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. No login, no browser, no proxies.

Contracts Finder is where UK central government, the NHS, councils and other public bodies publish lower-value and sub-central contract opportunities and awards — the contracts most SMEs actually win. This Actor turns that feed into a dataset you can schedule, filter and push into your own tools.

Important: Contracts Finder closes on 1 May 2027

The Procurement (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2026 (SI 2026/746) set 1 May 2027 as the date from which publication on Contracts Finder is discontinued or replaced by the central digital platform. After that date this Actor may return few or no new notices; you are only charged per notice actually returned, so an empty run costs nothing in result fees. Higher-value notices are already covered by the companion UK Find a Tender Scraper (ukopendata/uk-public-tenders-find-a-tender).

What you can use it for

  • Daily UK tender alerts — schedule it every morning and route new public sector opportunities to Slack, email or Google Sheets.
  • SME lead generation — find councils, NHS trusts and agencies buying what you sell.
  • Bid pipeline and CRM enrichment — load notices into HubSpot, Salesforce or Airtable via Apify integrations, Zapier or Make.
  • Spend and market research — track who is buying what, and for how much, over time.

How to use it

  1. Click Try for free, keep the defaults and press Start — you get notices published in the last 24 hours.
  2. Optionally set publishedFrom / publishedTo (ISO date-times) for a custom window, raise maxPages for more volume, and set minValue to skip small contracts.
  3. Download results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or call the Actor from the Apify API.
  4. Add a schedule and an integration to receive new notices automatically.

Input

FieldTypeDefaultNotes
publishedFromstring (ISO date-time)last 24 hNotices published after this time
publishedTostring (ISO date-time)nowNotices published before this time
maxPagesinteger 1–505Each page is up to 100 notices
minValueinteger (GBP)0Keep only notices with a stated GBP value at or above this. 0 = no filter
categoriesarraynoneOptional keyword tags to keep: gis_data, it_software, consultancy. Most notices carry no tag, so leave empty to get everything

Example input:

{ "publishedFrom": "2026-09-01T00:00:00", "publishedTo": "2026-10-01T00:00:00", "maxPages": 20, "minValue": 25000 }

Output

One record per notice:

{
"ocid": "ocds-b5fd17-99309af0-f32a-4763-8e89-5522e11fc990",
"title": "Lift Maintenance",
"description": "Lift Maintenance - GHC",
"buyer": "Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust",
"value_gbp": 153673.47,
"currency": "GBP",
"deadline": "2026-10-31T12:00:00Z",
"published": "2026-09-30T18:11:42+01:00",
"cpv": "50700000",
"url": "https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/Notice/99309af0-f32a-4763-8e89-5522e11fc990",
"categories": [],
"source": "contracts_finder",
"licence": "OGL-3.0"
}

value_gbp is filled only when the notice states its value in GBP; amounts in other currencies stay in currency with value_gbp: null (no exchange-rate conversion). Fields are null when the publisher did not supply them.

Pricing

Pay per result: $5 per 1,000 notices ($0.005 per notice returned); a run that returns nothing costs nothing in result fees. A typical day on Contracts Finder is a few hundred notices, so a daily run costs around $1. Use minValue, categories and maxPages to cap spend.

Licence, attribution and personal data

Contracts Finder data is Crown copyright, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. If you republish the data, include this attribution: "Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0." Notices are republished as the publisher wrote them. The output has no contact fields, but a notice's free-text description can occasionally name an individual; if you reuse the data you are responsible for meeting UK GDPR.
