UK Find a Tender Scraper — public procurement notices to JSON/CSV

Get every new UK Find a Tender Service (FTS) notice as clean, flat JSON, CSV or Excel: tender title, description, buyer, contract value, deadline, CPV code and a direct link to the official notice. Built on the official FTS OCDS API, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. No login, no browser, no proxies — a typical daily run finishes in well under a minute.

Find a Tender is where UK public bodies publish higher-value contract opportunities, contract awards and procurement notices (including notices under the Procurement Act 2023 regime). This Actor turns that feed into a dataset you can schedule, filter and push into your own tools.

What you can use it for

  • Daily tender alerts for bid and sales teams — schedule it every morning and send new UK government tenders to Slack, email or a spreadsheet.
  • Lead generation — find public sector buyers that are actively procuring in your market.
  • CRM enrichment and pipeline tracking — load notices into HubSpot, Salesforce or Airtable via Apify integrations, Zapier or Make.
  • Market research and dashboards — build a history of UK public procurement activity by buyer, value or CPV code.

How to use it

  1. Click Try for free, leave the defaults and press Start — you get notices updated in the last 24 hours.
  2. Optionally set updatedFrom (ISO date-time) to look further back, raise maxPages for more volume, and use minValue to skip small contracts.
  3. Download the results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or call the Actor from the Apify API.
  4. Add a schedule (e.g. daily at 07:00) and an integration to get new notices automatically.

Input

FieldTypeDefaultNotes
updatedFromstring (ISO date-time)last 24 hReturn notices updated after this time
maxPagesinteger 1–505Each page is up to 100 notices
minValueinteger (GBP)0Skip notices whose stated value is below this. 0 = no filter
categoriesarraynoneOptional keyword tags to keep: gis_data, it_software, consultancy. Most notices carry no tag, so leave empty to get everything

Example input:

{ "updatedFrom": "2026-10-01T00:00:00", "maxPages": 10, "minValue": 100000 }

Output

One record per notice:

{
"ocid": "ocds-h6vhtk-077e26",
"title": "Japan Electricity Grids Scoping Study for British Embassy Tokyo",
"description": "Market scoping exercise across Japan to identify commercial opportunities for UK companies...",
"buyer": "Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office",
"value_gbp": null,
"currency": null,
"deadline": null,
"published": "2026-10-01T03:22:05+01:00",
"cpv": null,
"url": "https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/077e26",
"categories": [],
"source": "find_a_tender",
"licence": "OGL-3.0"
}

Fields: ocid, title, description, buyer, value_gbp, currency, deadline, published, cpv, url, categories, source, licence. Fields are null when the publisher did not supply them.

Pricing

Pay per result: $5 per 1,000 notices ($0.005 per notice returned); a run that returns nothing costs nothing in result fees. A daily run returning 300 notices costs about $1.50. Use minValue, categories and maxPages to cap spend.

Licence, attribution and personal data

Find a Tender data is Crown copyright, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. If you republish the data, include this attribution: "Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0." Notices are republished as the publisher wrote them. The output has no contact fields, but a notice's free-text description can occasionally name an individual; if you reuse the data you are responsible for meeting UK GDPR.

FAQ

Is this data legal to use? Yes. Find a Tender data is Crown copyright published under the Open Government Licence v3.0, which allows commercial reuse with attribution. Each record carries licence: "OGL-3.0".

What about smaller, below-threshold contracts? Those are published on Contracts Finder. Use the companion Actor UK Contracts Finder Scraper (ukopendata/uk-contracts-finder-notices) for the same output format.

What happens when Contracts Finder closes? The Procurement (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2026 (SI 2026/746) set 1 May 2027 as the date from which Contracts Finder publication is discontinued or replaced by the central digital platform. This Actor reads Find a Tender and is not affected by that date.

How fresh is the data? As fresh as the official FTS API at the moment of the run.

Can I get historical notices? Yes — set updatedFrom to an earlier date and raise maxPages.
