Reed Scraper: UK jobs with salaries
Scrape Reed.co.uk, a UK job board, by keyword and place: title, employer or recruitment agency, town, county and postcode, salary with its unit (per hour, day or year), contract (permanent, temporary, contract), full or part time, on-site, hybrid or remote, sector, skills, full description and dates. Export to CSV, Excel or JSON, or use the API.
USD 0.49 per 1,000 jobs. No login, no browser.
What you get
- Salary only when Reed shows it. When an advertiser hides the pay ("Salary negotiable", "Competitive"), the
salary fields stay empty, even though Reed keeps a figure behind the page. The unit is in
salaryPeriod; Reed's own yearly conversion of an hourly or daily rate is kept apart inextra.salaryPerAnnum. - Who posted it:
extra.advertiserTypesays Employer, Agency or Reed, plus the sector and the skills when the ad lists them. - Two dates:
datePostedis the day the ad was created; when the advertiser refreshed it, the date Reed shows is inextra.displayDate. - Reed's own filters as input: keywords, place and distance, contract type, full or part time, workplace, employers or agencies only, only jobs with a salary, or pasted Reed search URLs.
Input examples
{ "keywords": ["nurse"], "location": "London", "maxJobs": 200 }
Hybrid contract jobs for data analysts within 20 miles of Manchester, new ones only (daily schedule):
{ "keywords": ["data analyst"], "location": "Manchester", "radiusMiles": 20, "contractType": "contract", "workplaceType": "hybrid", "onlyNewJobs": true }
Example row
From a saved Reed job page (empty fields left out, description shortened):
{"jobId": "57209678","title": "Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurses","company": "Academics","companyUrl": "https://www.reed.co.uk/jobs/academics/p14099","companyLogoUrl": "https://resources.reed.co.uk/profileimages/logos/thumbs/Logo_14099.png","location": "Bexleyheath","city": "Bexleyheath","region": "Kent","postalCode": "DA7","country": "GB","remote": false,"workplaceType": "onsite","salaryMin": 90,"salaryMax": 100,"salaryCurrency": "GBP","salaryPeriod": "DAY","salaryText": "£ 90.00 - £ 100.00 per day","employmentType": "FULL_TIME, TEMPORARY","employmentTypeText": "Temporary","category": "Nurse","skills": ["Nursery Nurse NNEB NN Cache NVQ EYP Early Years bexley south east london Child care first aid"],"datePosted": "2026-08-07T13:18:48.307Z","validThrough": "2026-10-30T23:55:00.000Z","descriptionText": "Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurses Required ...","jobUrl": "https://www.reed.co.uk/jobs/level-3-qualified-nursery-nurses/57209678","sourceBoard": "Reed","duplicateKey": "6d122f07888e0802","extra": {"easyApply": true,"earlyBird": true,"featured": true,"updated": "2026-09-11T05:20:12.823Z","displayDate": "2026-09-11T05:20:12.823Z","occupation": "Nursery Nurse","advertiserType": "Agency","sector": "Education / Nursery","salaryPerAnnum": {"min": 23400,"max": 26000,"note": "annualised by Reed from the stated rate"}}}
Good to know
- Reed's robots.txt does not allow its sort-by-date links, so results come in Reed's relevance order and a search with "Only new jobs" reads all its pages each time. You still pay only for the new jobs saved.
- Each job page takes about 3 seconds (a 20-job run took 62 s), so 1,000 jobs with full descriptions take about 50 minutes. With job pages switched off, rows keep the list fields and a 240-character snippet.
- Not given: experience level, an external apply link (you apply on Reed). The postcode comes from the job page and only when the ad has one.
Who uses it
- Recruitment agencies and staffing firms in the UK: new jobs by role and town every day, with who posted them.
- Pay research: posted rates by role, place and contract type.
Output: one row per job
Every Actor in this family writes the same columns, so you can merge boards in one sheet or database.
| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
jobId | The board's own job id |
title, company | Job title and hiring company (as the board shows them) |
companyUrl, companyLogoUrl | Company page and logo on the board, when given |
location, city, region, postalCode, country | Location as shown, and its parts; country is an ISO code (FR, DE, US...) |
remote, workplaceType | true/false and remote, hybrid or onsite, only when the board says so |
salaryMin, salaryMax, salaryCurrency, salaryPeriod, salaryText | Salary range as numbers, ISO currency, HOUR/DAY/WEEK/MONTH/YEAR; empty when the board gives none (never guessed) |
employmentType, employmentTypeText | FULL_TIME, PART_TIME, TEMPORARY, INTERN, APPRENTICE, CONTRACTOR, FREELANCE..., and the board's own wording |
experienceLevel, category, skills | When the board gives them |
datePosted, validThrough | ISO 8601 dates |
descriptionText, descriptionHtml | Full description as plain text and as HTML |
applyUrl, jobUrl | Where to apply, and the job's page on the board |
sourceBoard, searchLabel, scrapedAt | Which board, which of your searches found it, when |
duplicateKey | The same key for the same ad posted on several boards (or reposted): title without (m/w/d) or H/F tags, company without legal form, city, country. Use it to merge results from several of our board Actors |
extra | A few fields only this board has |
Contact email addresses and phone numbers inside descriptions are removed: this Actor never collects recruiters' personal contact details.
Job alerts: only new jobs, sent where you work
- Switch on Only new jobs since the last run and schedule the Actor (daily, hourly). It remembers the jobs it has already delivered for the same searches and filters, in a key-value store on your own account (named job-boards-seen-
- Paste a Slack or Discord webhook (or a Zapier or Make webhook, which can email you) into Send new jobs to. After each run that found new jobs you get one message with the count and up to 10 jobs with their links. Free: the message is never billed.
Apify's own integrations (Google Sheets, email, webhooks) work too.
Pricing
Pay per job saved: USD 0.49 per 1,000 jobs (USD 0.00049 a job), plus USD 0.002 per run start. No monthly rental, no charge for jobs skipped as duplicates, already seen or filtered out. Set a maximum cost per run in Apify and the Actor stops just before it, keeping everything saved so far.
Use it through the API
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/usefulapi~reed-jobs-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_API_TOKEN" \-H "Content-Type: application/json" \-d '{"keywords":["nurse"],"location":"London","maxJobs":20}'
Python: ApifyClient("YOUR_API_TOKEN").actor("usefulapi/reed-jobs-scraper").call(run_input={...}), then read the dataset items.
Good to know
- Polite by design: one request at a time per site with a pause between requests, and the site's robots.txt is followed. Runs read public job pages only: no login, no candidate profiles or CVs.
- What a run summary tells you: the
OUTPUTrecord has jobs saved per search, jobs skipped (duplicates, seen before, too old) and why a run stopped early, if it did. - Is it legal? The Actor reads job ads that the board publishes openly, the same pages a job seeker sees. You are responsible for how you use the data (for example, the board's terms and data protection rules in your country).
